Why wasn't all of the crowd armed? They could have returned a rain of hellfire back that could have left Mandalay Bay Casino in rumble within minutes

Alcohol and guns what could go wrong, Also  how are the other people ment to know that these shooters are not the bad guys

Can't be having one of your own citizens labelled as a terrorist, because it means you're not doing something right.

Or enough info has not been released yet to determine the motive.  Americans, as well as citizens from other countries, have been labeled terrorists and working with them.

Because we do not have enough info to go off of right now.  Give it time.

But the term "Terrorism" is often thrown around so haphazardly when the perpetrator is not of a predominantly white background.

I honestly didn't get it either. There are 2 dangers to an invisible /s at the end of such statement:

1. Text doesn't make your intentions and intonation clear

2. Some people strongly believe that what you stated is the solution to violence

Trust me it is not "dangerous".  It wasn't a standalone statement, I thought my comment as whole made it obvious where I was coming from.

The trouble is 1) It was a comment on the internet, and 2) It's 2017. It's gotten really difficult to tell if people are being sarcastic or just deranged.

Also, does anyone know the current exchange rate of prayers to aftermath support?

Sorry that was me being a bit salty. I get fed up looking at my twitter timeline after any tragic event, and it's just full of Pray for (insert place name here), as if that'll help? Serves no purpose other than to make you feel better about yourself. Why not donate instead?

I agree.

It’s a horrible tragedy but prayers don’t do anything.

BBC news reporting that Sherrif Joe Lombardo has declared it as a lone wolf attack. Some random psychologist appears to be trying to explain or justify his action.

What utter ######!

I'm Indian, and if I was the shooter in that hotel, I would instantly have been branded a terrorist.

Holy crap! CNN is interviewing someone who says he believes in God now because he survived the shooting. WTF?

Prayer is a comfort to a lot of people whether you are the one saying the prayer, or the one hearing it.   So whether or not you find it beneficial, many do.  And do you know that people are not donating as well?

Ah, yes.  You had to mention CNN but FOX and other networks are also reporting on this tragedy.  They aren't milking anything btw.

This isn't about race, this isn't about news networks, this isn't about religion. 50+ people are dead. Respect of life is all that matters here, and it's deplorable to try to justify this with your ridiculous internet political agendas.

Why, if the shooter has an English name, is this not described as a terrorist attack?

Not true... we had a Sudanese immigrant opened fire just a bit more than a week ago at a Tennessee church and not a beep from the media of a "terrorist"

If you're blanket covering my post in that comment, you've not noticed the post was a reference as to what makes this a terrorist incident. A mass shooting of any sort is an act of terror when the intention was to harm and kill as many as possible.

You don't get it.  When it's a WHITE guy that does ###### like this, bringing up race is totally cool.
