I'm getting a Reman feeling from that enemy ship

Looks a tiny bit like the Narada from ST '09.

Exactly. From what I've seen from people who have actually seen Season 3 this trailer apparently shows very little and there are some misdirects.

The F has had a very recent refresh in STO, potentially to make it closer to the Picard version.

I think it's the other way around, the guy who took the Odyssey class "refit" (the newest refit isn't used until 2411 in-game) Enterprise F mesh in STO said CBS used his model and just freshened it up with some metallic textures for the show.

Mixed feelings on the F, glad that STO is getting some love by the shows, they're some great designs in there, but the Odyssey class is a decade old at this point, would have been nice to see something we haven't saw before. Then again, it seems to be a cult favorite. I prefer the E look over the F still.

So who do you think she may be? She does seems to know Picard quite well.

That would be the Titan-A at this point.  Unless that's also in STO?

Those two pics are the Enterprise F, but the Titan-A is also based off of an old design, the Shangri-La I believe, kit bashed with additional constitution class elements.

Hello,

If memory serves, the Moriarty hologram was created with the express purpose of being able to trick Data.  So, perhaps he is being reactivated to counter Lore.

Given the appearance of Lore, it's possible she's a reprogrammed version of his and Data's mom, just with a different actress.

What would be the purpose? Think for a moment WHY Shinzon was created.  Picard never had a sister... Shinzon was meant to replace Picard... Romulans don't do anything without a reason... What POSSIBLE purpose could a "sister" serve their plot, when she would instantly be revealed as fake?

I'm aware that's the F, I mean about seeing something totally new.  Unless the Titan-A is in STO then it's our new ship.  And while it's got old bits in there, kitbashing is how we get most of our ships in Trek so that's nothing new.

And it's all the same writers

Season 1 was bad. Season 2 was good. Love seeing Q again and glad they closed that chapter between him and Picard in a proper way. I am hoping season 3 nails it. We shall see.

I think they've set the stage for Seven at least, also, just like with the Enterprise sets, they built those Titan ones to last as not just some temporary set of the week, I have a feeling we'll be seeing a Titan series (or maybe an

Enterprise-G

one) following up on Dominion, Romulus, Delta Quadrant, and then finally new things unique to that century.

I'd be surprised if Discovery makes it past the next season, even the disco die hards are starting to get tired of it, which also set the stage for a 31st century starfleet academy series. Strange New Worlds is starting to sound like it'a going to be a limited series too, they're already setting Kirk up, and POST voyager/nemesis has been the number one fan request for a new series since 2001.

I hope Terry Matalas is the key player in whatever they go with, after CBS finally got Alex Kurtzman out of the mix during the middle of Picard's season 2 planning, it really started to shine. I thought Season 2 of Picard was excellent, and 3 keeping up the pace already. Season 1 was rough, mostly as it was a radical departure of what we'd expect from Picard and other characters, but once you realized it wasn't going to be a TNG clone, it was easier to stomach. I do hope they axe Raffi, she's just not a likable character, she's wildly unstable and I just can't take her seriously, she's basically forced at this point.

LOL. You think Kurtzman isn't in the mix?

Sigh. Terry was given priority from the studio over Kurtzman. He’s still there, but isn’t main showrunner, particularly when it comes to writing, doesn’t matter if his name is first on the credits or not.

No he wasn't. He was hired by Kurtzman to do exactly what he's doing. Exactly what Kurtzman's role was from the beginning of the new TREKs.

    • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
