Just downloaded & installed, it seems to be as slow as hell compared w/IE, any tweaks for this? I really want to learn to like it. But even as I type this, the cursor doesnt seem to appear in the reply box, and I'm typing blind here...

One word --- pipelining :D

Anyone got linkage to optimized Firefox stuff yet?

MozillaZine is getting hammered into submission right now. I was able to view the Fx build page once, saw an optimized Feb 09 thread, just couldn't get into it. Believe it was by stipe

Right, everything is setup for me in Firefox with the exception of Flash, do I need to edit the registry file that is for Firebird and edit it to suit Firefox?

Or is there another way?

Radish?

I just ran the Flash installer, it detected FireFox and installed itself into FF's plugin directory. Took about 10 secon:). :)

I fixed it :woot:, the Flash Installer didn't find Firefox in the list but I just pointed to where the Firefox Plugins folder was and it works now :)

Radish?

Did you use the Installer or the Zipped build?

Radish?

I used the installer for FireFox. Got it off of BitTorrent. If you used the zipped build of FireFox, you can still install Flash by running the Flash installer and manually pointing it to the FF plugin directory during the install.

radish.. just as an fyi.. the flash installer picks up the browser if you use the non-zipped one. thats part of the reason they created a windows installer.

Yeah Spydie, I don't use the Installer because it tends to change the HTML file assoications/icons upon startup - which I don't want :)

Everything is running sweet in Firefox now, thanks guys

Radish?

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
