vip
It won't. I've been here much longer than you. I think I've have 40% for a long time. what in the world did you get warned for ? :l Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/145043-warning-levels/page/8/#findComment-1788295 Share on other sites
Spyder Veteran Posted March 3, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 3, 2004 so maybe the mod deserved it! and the people too! and when will it go down?! It doesn't go down. Its your permanent record. Whether or not anyone deserves it, flaming is against the neowin rules. If you don't want it to continue going up, obey the rules :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/145043-warning-levels/page/8/#findComment-1788298 Share on other sites
Dashel
So what is your warn percentage based on? From personal experience I have been mistakenly been warned in the RWI forums but after mod review it has been dismissed yet it appears I am still 'guilty' regardless. So is this like the unethical business practice where they only look at your arrest record and not convictions? It appears you're where you're at for other reasons. all this is is simply a record for the moderators to go look at what things you've been warned for in the past. Dashel
Ok, thanks Spyder. I can accept I'm a argumentative ******. I do think RWI should be a sliding scale IMO. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/145043-warning-levels/page/8/#findComment-1788316 Share on other sites
markwolfe Veteran Posted March 3, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 3, 2004 I asked this question earlier, but focus was on another comment I made in my post... But, do comments in the "front page" news articles have an efffect on the 'warning' level? I have seen plenty of violation of the rules there, and was curious if those people were exempt from warnings. Boffa Jones Veteran Posted March 3, 2004 Author Veteran Share Posted March 3, 2004 WHen you go into RWI it immediatly gets a bit toasty. Modding there must be like having to work as a cop in the rough part of the neighborhood. I do think RWI should be a sliding scale IMO. ;) hey no problem :) From what I've seen (this is all IMO.. I avoid modding there) RWI is a little more lenient given the nature of the discussions at hand and how heated they can get. WHen you go into RWI it immediatly gets a bit toasty. Dashel
I am sincerly disappointed though that our warning level will never decrease though. Seems a bit draconian. kombolcha
if this was implemented from the time i registered. i would be at 30% (assuming that every warning goes by 10%) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/145043-warning-levels/page/8/#findComment-1788714 Share on other sites
bonobozoot
if this was implemented from the time i registered. i would be at 30% (assuming that every warning goes by 10%) In this thread, it says that it goes up 20% every time. So 5 strikes get you a 100% warning. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/145043-warning-levels/page/8/#findComment-1788868 Share on other sites
Japlabot
it's a rating of how many neowin rules you broke. when you do something bad, admins/mods will "warn" you..when it reaches some point, "you're outa here!".
