No, that's not what I meant. I thought the RSS feed was created on-the-fly by the server. If the RSS thing had to go through the database to find the newest 5 posts every time someone clicked a stupid button, that would cause a major problem...

Like I said above, the RSS feeds on the site are generated from static files. There will be no negative performance to using them to build the flash app.

Or you put links to the RSS feeds

Just some updates. Just a note to everyone. The "Favourite" tab you see is an idea I had in mind. In your control panel, or whever the admins decide to put it, you can select which "feeds" you want, and maybe even offsite feeds too, then they will get sorted by time.

And timdorr, those Flash tabs are pretty slick looking. I'm going to have to go check on this, but if the links are in a flash object, does that mean I can't right click -> open in new tab?
