AMD60305
"Suspension of Disbelief An elegant aluminum enclosure, advanced hinge technology and peripheral support give you flexibility to place your display anywhere and adjust it effortlessly. The optional VESA mount lets you put a flat panel in surprising new places. So you can make your Apple display a seamless part of a museum kiosk, mount it on a wall in a office lobby or swivel changes to a client via an articulating arm." Tim Dorr Veteran Posted June 28, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 28, 2004 Ok, check this out: http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/sync.html Does that windows not sort of look like Longhorn's big titlebar style? Hmmm... Oh, and on this page: http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/theater/spotlight.html Watche as they type. Pipeline shows up as one of the apps. Apparently Automater was a last-minute change :D

the evn show
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else: Access Control Lists [ACLs]System administrators can dynamically assign access permissions to virtually any resource (for instance, a single file) on a user-by-user basis, rather than through UNIX groups. from: http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/unix.html This was my biggest complaint when it came to HFS+ compared to NTFS. My job just got a little bit easier.
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted June 28, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 28, 2004 Oh wait, the copying doesn't end there: http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/xcode.html They've gone and upstaged OmniGraffle :D
Orson
Looks cool, the only thing I don't like is the apple startbutton. It looks the same like its pressed in smoothstripes

the evn show
Oh wait, the copying doesn't end there: http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/xcode.html They've gone and upstaged OmniGraffle :D If this will also let me navigate my code (sort of like Rose) then I'm all for it. I've used omnigraffles auto-code-diagramming tools (which are damn cool) but it's limited: 1) It only works for nib files - xcode appears to work for the entire project 2) I have to leave xcode to view the diagram 3) no quick way to navigate from the diagram into the actual code to make changes. 4) It's "all or nothing", xcode lets me be more selective. All that said, I'll probably still use omnigraffle for diagramming code because it gives much more control over the presentation of the data. Not to mention omnigraffle works for more than just code. session
The new display looks wrong. The price is even more surprisingly interesting. The UI hasn't been improved. Finder and some apps are still in brushed metal. The new exciting dashboard really excites me. The entire thing is just so fantasitic :hmmm:

PureEdit
This looks great. Dashboard is great, I cant wait to try it. All the new Smart Folders and Smart XXXXX Things are great, I was looking forward to this. Not sure about Spotlight, it does look like a rip of QuickSilver/LaunchBar, but I will just use what ever is best. QuickSilver looks better at this point, although it is slower because it does not use The MetaData from Tiger (yet). RSS in safari is good, I cant wait to try tiger.
