I haven't had a chance to read the replies but my vote goes to PC, compare a high spec pc to a console, there is no competition and the games are miles ahead.

When consoles got multiplayer everyone was like "ooh look it's so new", seriously, it's been happening on PC games since way back, why all the fuss because FINALLY a console can do it.

The graphics a pc game can produce from a good system are simply incredible, far cry, half life 2, doom 3, all examples of games which make consoles look out of date.

I think I've made my point :).

PC is best for games unless u have crap one xbox is the bes console cos it the fastes and has beeta gfx then ps2 or cube and is betta and easyer to play online haveing said thth i dont have xbox live cos i play mi games online on PC. if consoles had a mouse and keybored for fps games and no loading/saving wait no crap graphics then i would happaly play one i have an xbox and have played the ps2 and cube i find the ps2 and cube lack in loads of things and so dus the xbox but not as much

xbox :best console fast clearish gfx controllers are a bit of a strech expecily the trigers. but are betta then ps2

ps2: i could make a cup of tea b4 it loads but had some betta games then xbox and cube and controlers are too small and buttons bunched up

game cube: seems chidish but has some hardcore games but lacks severly cos no internet play and cant play dvds. and small controllers

PC: best for games playing on net free inless u have dile up plus thts slower then broband of corse. loading speed and saving speed is seconds (well my PC is) u play games with mouse and keybord wich is easyer for aiming in fps but i use mi controller for non fps games like GTA Sand Andreas on PC

MODs. On xbox ps2 and cube u dont get mods for game or trainers like trainer for need for speed underground 2 were u have infernet nitros instent 400 mph super brakes jump mode ect and mods like the hot coffe mod for GTA san andreas (yea i kno im sick)

PC is just the best perioid. :p

I think pc's are really good gaming machines but windows only....mac and linux aren't exactly optimized for gaming, few exceptions as one of my freinds who has a dual g5 and can play games flawlessly.

but computers gpu gets obsolete sooner to consoles as they have more games available but you can always upgrade the gpu........so its both

pc.- strategy games

consoles almost any other games

lmao i can't believe i replied to your post like that i think i was drunk at that time lol

1) Why do we have to have this discussion every other day? It's lame, and only gets the fanboys worked up.

2) Are we trying to prove that gamers have no concept of spelling or grammar? The whole 1337sp33k thing died out in the mid to late 80s, now you just look like a bunch of posers.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
