I like PC games for FPS games and a few RTS games.. but I've found myself leaning toward console games now because PC games are less social, which someone pointed out, and having friends over to play vs talking to them through Ventrilo or TeamSpeak sucks.

Yeah exactly. When you play on Live it's a lot more fun because you can communicate with people through the same client all the time. Plus friends lists are a real nice bonus :p

I would have to say both but take a more liking to a pc because of the option to mode almost every feature of it and just make it the most uber computer ever. howeva a consol has both pros and cons but still they have some awsome games that pc dosent have... :/

Games look so much better on PC but PC systems cannot last as long in terms of how long a console can last for which makes PCs very expensive when it comes to upgrading to play the next waves of next technology games.

I'm both!

Consoles always had great games like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, etc... (I know there are PC versions, but it isn't the same feeling) but there are still certain genres of games that consoles aren't good with. Like RTS and Graphical Adventures. :)

Since a few years ago I have been a devote PC gamer.

But I'm already tired of having to upgrade my hardware, or having problems with hardware for some games, so I'm buying a console in this upcoming months (X360) and to tell you the truth... I have never been this excited.

Online gaming = PC

FPS = PC

I cant stand trying to use tiny joysticks with your thumbs on FPS games for PS2. Thats why the PC is so much better. The mouse! Razer Copperhead :p

No Doubt PC!

Better graphics and more choice of games. Games cost a fortune on the Xbox360 and the PS3. Like ?40-?50 each! Multiplayer games are so much more fun on the PC.

Ive been playing all me PS2 games in my PC for a year now and just happy

How is that possible beniza?

Definately console, xbox 360 to be precise;

upsides:

+ just hanging on the couch while playing games rules

+ not expensive (compared to high-end pc's)

+ no need to upgrade every month to play the newest games

+ plug and play

+ racers and footies have to be played with a controller imo

+ LAN-parties with consoles are a lot cooler than PC-LAN's imo, because you are actually sitting right next to your partner and in splitscreen can better co-operate or punch him on the shoulder when he messes up :laugh:

+ Certain exclusives that never (or a lot later) reach pc (gears of war, project gotham racing, forza motorsport to name a few)

Downsides;

- after they have reached the consoles limits, you wish you had a powerfull pc.

- online multiplayer will cost you extra money

- no mods

- games for consoles are getting more and more expensive

- extra hardware is quite expensive (x360 controller for almost 50 euro's! a simple vga cable costs around 20 euro's \O/)

Both have ups and downs, but I stick to my computer as I'm not much of a gamer.

I'm still wondering though,

Computer (PC/Mac/linux)
What is Linux (an operating system's kernel) doing in there?

Well, I only have a PC, and it's an old pc so i can't game a lot even if I want to. But I'm building a new rig, a high-end system. I was going to get a console and hook it up to the same LCD monitor of the PC... but I really don't know if it's really worth getting a console. Basically I really love rracing games, unfortunately not too many good once nowadays. I also love Americas Army on the PC. Don't know much about games. Still undecided :/

Nothing beats the PC. The gaming system in my opinion must be versatile. consoles are built for playing games alone. The PC on the other hand is a jack of all trades. Its the only exception cos its the master of all trades as well. I doubt you can say that for anything else. And consoles definitely don't fit that criteria.

Infact, to be honest, i don't know why they had to even come up with the idea of consoles.

PC's rock, consoles sock !!!!!11

I used to be into consoles... but computers, IMO, are superior as far as controls go. I also enjoy the aspect of multi-tasking. Consoles is to "tunnel vision" for me. That being said, I can not wait to get into Twilight Princess and Gears of War.

:D

So my vote is PC, as mentioned, the upgrade-ability factor.
