Well, it's pointless to ask a bunch of people that use PCs and go to a PC related site like this...it would be obviouse PC would be teh top choice, while in reality I'm afraid the console would be #1 choice. I choose PC. :p

Until this Christmas, I have been more of a console gamer, because I had an old Dell computer which had only 256mb RAM (after I added 128mb), a 1.1ghz processor, and a 16mb onboard video card. But I got a decent computer which plays games for Christmas, so I have been playing computer games a lot more, and I have not used my xbox for gaming since then basically.

I'm a more PC kind if guy. Been exposed to computers since I was 6 years old. The only console I had was Sega Megadrive 16-Bit to play Sonic the Hedgehog :D . Now happily playing NFS: MW on my PC :D .

PC all the way! I love the great games for the PC. Though I'm not very familiar with the console games, I know enough to know I'll only buy a console if I win the lottery. :D Otherwise I don't want that crap. But I'd like to play with the console's sport games. Car races, wrestling, ball-games, boxing, fighting (Mortal Kombat). That would be great.

GET PS2, if you can't get a PS2 get A PC. All other consoles suck like mad!

Xbox much better.

btw who says you cant play pc games on a nice and clear 37" lcd tv screen that supports 1920 x 1080 resolutions :D. The PC is more customizable and if your in need a of a joypad/joystick you can always buy one. I find it more enjoyable to play sports games on the xbox 360 as it isnt as intense as fpses are.

Consoles.

Cheaper - Don't have to keep upgrading hardware to be able to play latest games. NFS MW can be played on a 5 year old mini-computer (Xbox) where as in convitional personal computers you need to replace with more recent hardware.

I stick with the consoles. I used to be a mixture of both, during Starcraft and Diablo II's prime days, but then when the community died, I switched over to console 90% of the time.

Im surprised at how many people are primarily PC gamers. Thing is, both have their upsides, and why not have the best of both worlds. And i appreciated the quote up there from atomsmasher about getting a ps2 and if not get a pc, as if anyone would a: not be able to get a ps2, and b: decide that since they couldnt get a ?100 piece of plastic to spend ?1000 on a pc...

i voted for PC becuase right before the Xbox 360 came out, it was one of the top computer hardware for games out there... and two weeks later (maybe less) it was pwned by newer computer hardware. my new computer is better than the 360 :woot:

The console controller really needs to be retired/phased out if consoles ever want to capture the interests of PC gamers. Games have evolved so much from the days of Super Mario Brothers that a 10, 15 button peripheral just doesn't make sense anymore. Until the day I see keyboards and mice plugged into a console, I'm sticking with the PC. I'd also help if HDTV became mainstream.

If you look closer you can see that the gap between console and PC is getting a lot smaller, consoles are now doing a lot of the things that PC's have been doing for years and PC's are becoming more plug and play.
