I barely play PC anymore. The current game selection is pretty poor! Played most decent PC games released and there are no new titles worth my time.

Having a blast playing my 360, you feel a lot more social, great games and the achievements makes it fun to play ;)

Console. More games, don't have to worry about system requirements, easier for friends to jump on and get their own 360/PS3, but mostly I got sick of constantly upgrading my PC. I, personally, can do better things with my money.

What upgrades have you done that were necessary over the last 2 years. Not that I'm questioning your honesty, I'm just curious.

Thanks

Wow, this poll is old. I think it should be locked and a new poll started. I know that when I voted on this poll I was a PC gamer (hadn't owned a console since the SNES) but it's got too expensive in the last couple years for me so I play my Wii and I'm happy now.

Both - however I do feel that you have to pay more to upgrade PC components on a regular basis to continue to enjoy the latest and greatest games. On a console you usually have a good 2 years or so before they announce a newer console.

(I just purchased an HD2900XT and a Q6600 which cost me about $900CAD total - which could have bought me another XBOX with a ton of games and accessories).

Before games became so needing of a good computer, I could play some good games without problems, but now it's so needing of a good graphic card, etc, I'm gonna buy myself a Xbox 360 elite :)

So...

Both.

Easy to answer:

FPS, RTS = PC

Anything Else = Console

i pretty much agree here ;) .... basically any game where aiming is #1 factor (basically shooters) = PC , BY FAR!

for everything else = probably console (racing games/sports games i definitely prefer consoles)

I own an Xbox a Wii and a PC. PC if you really care about graphics and accuracy when aiming. I only play consoles for exclusives.

Its funny actually.... Before the 360 and PS3 came out I would of said I prefer PC over console... but have you all noticed that the PS3/360 graphics are pretty much the same now with PC games. (1080p).. Before PC games had em beat hands down... but nowadays not so much.... Im more into both platforms now... Since Console's now have alot more variety of games then the PC has....

PC's are great for games like World of Warcraft... those RTS games are perfect for that system. Simulation's.. even first person shooters...

Console's are great for fighting, racing, sports and now even first person shooter games....

I say have both PC and Console... that way you can enjoy it all.... :D

I voted for both. I rotate between the two. Right now I do the majority of my gaming on my Xbox 360, and then I play the games on my PC that play better on PC's or PC exclusive games.

Both have their own sets of strengths and weaknesses. PC gaming has the higher price tag and high system requirements, where on a console game, it's going to run and look as good as it's programmed to long as you have a good HDTV, however, you have redued graphic quality on some games.

Overall while I do most of my gaming on my Xbox 360, I do my gaming on both consoles and PC's.

For the most part I agree with you (texture and geometry quality wise), but a lot of Xbox 360 and PS3 games have loads of jaggies that you can counter on a PC by enabling anti-aliasing.
