NeoRequest

Question

Neowin,

Over the past few months, myself (JMann) and Chorpeac have been working on a new graphics request system for Neowin, called Neorequest. This system has been designed to provide a lot more organised and simplier system to request graphics. My job on Neorequest was to provide the skins and to make the graphics on Neorequest look very good and also to make the system simple so users dont get confused or stuck when using it. Chorpeac was the guy who codes the whole thing together and makes all work together and has done a brilliant job bringing it all together and it has worked perfectly, so without further talk, myself and Chorpeac present Neorequest Graphics Request System. Enjoy the system and drop us a comment or question in the Neorequest Official Neowin Forum, all linked below.

Neorequest Graphics Request System

Enjoy it, as it was made for all of you and Neowin.

Best Regards,

JMann and Chorpeac.

has anyone ever got neorequest to work?

Ive posted requests ever since it was up, and no one even looked at my request...

I ended up posting a request in the web and graphic designers corner, and has a logo in about 10 minutes, and about 6 pages of replys later had a great logo and suggestions...

bottom line, neorequest is NOT neowin, it is a seperate idea/site, and people should post here for ideas and logo requests etc

Hmm ok sure then you don't approve of NeoRequest, no problem. (Y) The reason NeoRequest was first created was because before every week we had a 200+ page thread with Requests in for this and that and as everyone agreed it became just stupid. So I put forward the suggestion of creating a Graphics request system and with much thought Neobond put the ball rolling.

Bam, NeoRequest was created by myself and Chorpeac; yes admitedly some of the smaller request's don't get completed sure, it's the same here in this forum. But recently furfilment of requests are a hell of a lot higher than they used to be and with the new version coming out soon :ninja: it will fingers crossed be even higher. Hell, with 20,000+ visitors each month we must be doing something right.

Also, Nautica, I would say if you are going to make another request like other members word it more carefully it pays to add more detail and say what you want as if you look through the listings you will find that the ones with more details get at least 1 submission, if not more. And also, sorry to keep going on but you say people didn't even look at your request, well im see'ing 37 views and two submissions [which you still need to rate please].

Just my thoughts.

Ok, well a while back Chorpeac stated to everyone on the main page that it was to be down for a few hours at some random point due to a Server move to a new host. (Apparently fed-up with the ammount of problems with the last host).

I haven't heard anything about it, but if it is when its all uploaded I would of thought after the DNS refreshed it should be back up. If it's still down tommorow I will talk to Chorpeac about it. :)

OK..now I am upset. I tried to submit 2 requests to NeoRequests using a program called Maxthon (IE based web browser). IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!! No error, etc, etc. Just refreshes the page with all my information in there. Annoying!! I have to open Opera, copy all my info and submit my request. I have no blockers enabled when submitting my request.

Please fix.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
