WHAT A CRAP ENDING

584939552[/snapback]

yeah i was kinda let down that you didnt learn anything from playing the game. but this is supposed to be the middle chapter, still you would like it to explain something then leave something still for the next game but no they dont tell you anything more than you already knew/concluded from looking at the videos, screenshots, etc.

Whats the point in having such an unsatisfactory ending? ffs they havent even confirmed there will be a half life 3, and even if there is, I didnt want to play through the game to be told at the end, oh, wait another 6 years and we might make it worth your while. It was a fun game but talk about anti climax. And where's the multiplayer? CS:source - a free mod made better looking, with less maps and no new features whatsoever, yea thats great, thanks valve. 6 years and you cant even put in a basic multiplayer with DM/TDM, yet you can charge me ?35 for a single player campaign thats not challenging even on hard setting.

Gamespot slated it in the review, but gave it a 9.2... It confused the hell out of me..

When I say slated, I mean they are saying the story is really bad etc. or something alike - you can read it if you go there, just click review on the half life 2 section. Anyway, I?m on the level past the Jet Ski thingy, and I prefer this walking around thing more to the vehicle on water... the gravity gun is awesome.

Anyone know if you get any other vehicles?.. I was hoping for an on road buggy sorta thing.

stuck  PLZ HELP

ive just got past some flying type drone thingys after i fell through an air duct into this room . In te room are all these explosive barrels . After u fall into the room these drone thingys come at you through the air duct and also up underneath you . Anyway what do i do next ? ive tried going down the ladder , piling up some barrels and going through a tunnel into the next area and that didnt work ive also tried looking for some switch to flood the room so i cn swim up through the tunnel and up to somewhere i can get out and that doesnt work too . * SPOLIER ANSWER *

I think that's where I got stuck yesterday and someone here helped me out, stacking barrels to get into that red-lit shoot won't work.

Answer is easy, go into the other rooms (jumping on the pipes), jump down to the water and look about half-way up the pipes for a red valve that will let the water rise.

I'm also stuck, I think it's Ravenhouse level (forgot the name). Anyways here's what happens:

* SPOILERS *

After the hovercraft part into this new area.

Dark, and nice lighting

As you approach there is a man at the top shooting the enemies for you.

Turn off all the gas mains to get through the fires (by turning them all off).

Jump on the car to get across all the ledges.

...

Man throws me a shotgun :), and says "meet you in the church (or something to that affect)".

Killed all the monsters.

Jumped to rooftop, across planks, turned the lever to give me another plank.

Jumped from one metal floored balcony to the other, where it collapses, killed all monsters in the room...and now I'm stuck - there's nowhere else to go :(

Allot of people are saying the game is easy to complete, I?m guessing these people are big fans of hl1, because I don?t have that much time to play it... And I?m still on the 3rd level... Allot of the time, I play around with the physics in the levels... I find it a bit pointless for someone to just forget all of that and literally do it all at once, I mean... Check out the gravity gun especially, i find it interesting to test other objects etc, anyway... I?m still loving the game, and No one has thought about mods yet! I remember countless mods on the pc mags I used to buy... This will add so much more life the game... Like what multi theft auto done to vice city. I?m sure there will be plenty of them!

use the turbo, it will make it coz thats where you have to go so all i can suggest is press shift to use the turbo ?

I didn't know there was a turbo, there is no mention of it in the controls section of Settings. I'll try it now :D

Ok question guys. My gf came home from work today and said that one of the guys she works with said he got the HL2 CE version but when he went to install it he had to D/L the entire 4+gig of HL2 in order to play. Is this true? I was under the impression that the DVD would have the full game and the extra's as well. wtf?

Screenshot what area you mean. There are two doors that need to be opened from what I remember. One by a button in a watch tower, and one by exploding some barrels which makes a girder fall and crash into the doors.

I don't know if this is the right spot, but if it is, you need to put the batteries into the device that's inside the house. They should be littered about.

The dvd contains the preloads, you don't have to download them.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
