Did they finally modify things so characters aren't naked at the sign-on screen?  I guess I haven't been paying attention..

Having a gf addicted to WoW is good   Mine is so addicted that I only saw her for like an hour and a half this weekend because we played almost non-stop :)

They just did today. Lastnight it was still that way but today we see what we have which I have to admit is rather nice.

artex, I didn't knowthat going to have to look into it thanks :)

Oh and I just got back to ashenvale from my first treck to Ironforge. GOD that place is so nice. Got me a new bow as well :)

Lucky bastid ;)

My fiance would rather count grains of rice than immerse herself into the wonderful world of WarCraft.

Well my gf is a gamer man. We met while I was a Q3 ###### for almost 3 years. She said she owuld never pay to play a game and at the time I agreed with that. But once I started to play the open beta of Linage 2 I changed my mind a little and I bought l2 and played for a few. Now with WOW I sold all my linage 2 stuff and picked up WOW. GF said she would never try linage cause it was not her "type" of thing she said. But I let her play WOW and within a few hours she was addicted.

She still hates paying the monthly fee so I'm paying for her account as well as mine. Such is life though as long as we can play together which is something we have both wanted to do for a long time again. We just found different games to play that the other just didn't like much. Now finally WOW brings us to the same game so it is rather fun :)

I made my first trip to Ironforge about a week ago. I liked it so much (because of the Auction House) that I set my hearthstone to there! Druids more or less have two hearthstones - their normal one and one that teleports them to Moonglade. So, now I can get around fairly well :)

This thread is to long to search in if my question allready have been asked..

Is Neowin going to start a Guild? or a Raid? i think that would be nice

You can search within threads now you know. To answer your question though, probably not--it seems all the people interested here are playing across different realms and personally I don't want to abandon all the work I've put into my character so far to begin anew.

The largest problem with WoW is that the content isn't big enough (it's already sprawling!) for the number of people that want to play. They have a crazy amount of servers and people are split across them and, as Mav Phoenix said, people are already invested in other servers.

And there are also PvE, PvP and RP servers which many people specifically chose.

I would be willing to start a new char so we could have a neowin guild. If anyone wants to, pick the server and let me know. We can start a guild charter shortly after. I'm on Daggerspine. It's PvP and Low pop.

I love flying the Grifhon or Griffon or Griffin or well however you spell it. I love flying from Stromwind to Ironforge, and seeing the higher levels on the ground. I can't wait to go there when Im 40 something level. Right now Im at level 23 as a Warrior, very hard work I tell you. I should update my signature with my stats.

Been playing WoW since 1st day of retail, really enjoy it.

Well, I'm pretty ****ed off as of late. I've gone to several stores locally and nobody has the game in stock. It's really irritating and I'm not sure if it's due to the insane popularity of the game or just a lack of publishing enough copies.

Hopefully some place will get it in the next day or 2, spring semester will be right around the corner.

I'm sharing an account with a friend until the EU Final Beta starts, but eh, don't think I'm doing too bad so far:

(don't mind the extra text I added, this screenshot was intended for a friend's site who's making a list of helpful wow links)

If you happen to be on Whisperwind, give me a shout.

Chad,

Just like Half-Life 2 is getting? Mav makes this thread for all things WOW HL2 gets one as well yet that one it at the top of this forum in Important topics. How is HL2 more important then WOW? Sorry but that is not right there are pepole who play this game on this forum who would like to NOT have to look for this thread all the time. Don't give HL2 preferential treatment over other games either thank you very much.

Anyways

Some screens from lastnight. This is from the Blackfathom Deeps Elite Quest. The Turtle that you see while he looks only like a lvl 25 he owns you when it comes to Damage and you get HALF of your normal inflected damage to him when you attack. I useally hit for 100+ this guy I was hitting for 30-40 or so. 3 people in this group no more (less you count my cat) We destroyed the Fathoms.

The second screen is of a lvl 42 elite giant that I found.

The text is because I split up the combat and normal server/talk text box so that I could keep up with the talking for a group and not let the text from combat force it off the screen all the time. The icons are special things I can do as a hunter makes it easier to find (least or me)

Oh and As for that Elite quest that marks #3 for me. Took care of the one in Dolonaar on a Solo mission (no one would help me with it). Took care of the Iron war and now Blackfathom Deeps. Have about 5 more Elites to get done so far as well :)

How do you know if a Quest is Elite or not? And what was the elite quest in Dolonaar?

585141988[/snapback]

There is an elite timberling in Dolonaar that you have to kill he is a lvl 9 elite. And yes the quest will tell you if it is an elite quest or not right next to the name of it.

Not that I know of. And trust me you would know if you had done this one. My gf is playing a warrior and she did not get the quest (not sure why) I'm a Hunter and I did. The Elite in question is surrounded by about 8 other lvl 9/10 timberlings and the elite himself is inside of a cave. To be honest when I did it I really did not see many people over in that area so not sure many people have found it (but Icould be wrong)

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
