sorry when others pay my monthly fee then they can tellme how to spec untill then they can take all the numbers and so called info and shove it . also i have a hunter and YEs hes is BM spec but what i meant was that spec you linked saying its the BEST spec . may not be the best for everyone ... deal with it or don't /shrug i dont have all day to sit in my moms basement and number crunch what would be the best spec . i spec how i want pick the talents i want :D

But it is the best overall spec.

For some reason I can't edit my last post, however I would like to elaborate;

BM is a wonderful skill for almost any type of hunter, no matter the person's preference. The fact remains that hunters, until 70 and decked out in epic gear, are ranged attackers. No one can defend the fact that the ranged dmg destroys the Melee that hunters can do, again, until higher levels, and even then finding a good melee turns you in to a weak tank with no real purpose of even being a hunter. BM enables you to have your animal tank. With crazy armor and happiness satisfied by cheap meats, being a BM hunter allows you the damage, and the protection. Of course you'll want a few marksmanship talents for +crit, but other than that, you're only hurting yourself.

Aside from contradicting yourself from beginning to end, you hardly made a point, ultimately making your post meaningless. So you have a hunter, and you have it BM spec'd, but you don't think it's the best? Now why would you play and directly spec yourself to something you "know" isn't the best spec for your class?

Also, pulling out the "you live in your mom's basement" insult was uncalled for. It's an obvious reality that you're feeling wrong, so you have to insult others to feel like you've one-up'd the other person.

I hate raiding yet I love it. :p It's costing me a fortune for pots and I still wanna buy my epic flyer in a few months. I am running kara in Farm mode finally to prepare for Gruul in a few weeks though. :)

Your post makes no sense at all and your insults are really pathetic. All I did was make a constructive post to let you see why me and most hunters think BM is the best, and you reply with that junk. Seriously...

Here are the general patch notes. Class/race specific ones are on the website. I was hesitant to post even this much because it seems like a lot, but the character notes are far, far more lengthy.

World of Warcraft Client Patch 2.2.0 (09/25/2007)

The latest patch notes can always be found at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/

General

* Voice Chat - The new Voice Chat feature is now available in game. Players will need to go into the Options menu under Sound & Voice to activate it. Volume sliders are available for the microphone, speakers, and game-audio fade (which automatically lowers the game audio when a voice communication is received), as is a ?push-to-talk? setting. Right-clicking on a player?s name now includes the option to mute or unmute that player. Muting another player blocks all voice chat from him or her; the ignore feature now blocks both voice chat and text chat from that player. For the Voice Chat F.A.Q. visit the following links: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...15291&sid=1 http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...12664&sid=1

* Chat Channels- New Chat Channel controls and functionality are now available under the Chat tab in the Social window of the interface. The interface will now show the channels players are in or are available to them, depending on the area of the world they are in, along with the addition of new private channel controls.

* A new feature for reporting players as being AFK in battlegrounds by right clicking has been added. When enough reports are registered, a 60 second debuff will begin to count down. Once the timer is up a new debuff will appear that will prevent the player from gaining any honor while it is on. This debuff can be negated as soon as the player engages in PvP combat.

* Haste: Haste has been rebalanced. It has returned to the ratios from the launch of Burning Crusade. Melee attacks and spell casts will now benefit at identical rates from haste. This change results in a reduction in the benefit of haste for melee attacks and an increase in the benefit for spellcasters.

* Auction House generated emails for successful auction sales will now have a one-hour delay and is no longer instantaneous.

* Troll Berserk: The spell haste on this ability was incorrectly too high and has been corrected.

* Resilience Rating: The reduction to the percent chance to get a critical strike now also reduces the damage dealt by damage over time effects by the same percentage.

* Area Spells: In some cases guards in neutral areas would not aggro against pvp attacks from area spells. That is now fixed.

* Corrected the damage modifier calculation for Resilience when the attacker has bonus critical strike damage.

* Power Regeneration: Any effect which triggers a change in your rate of power regeneration (Mana, Rage, Energy, Focus) will now cause an immediate reward of some power at the old rate of increase, and then begin new ?ticks? of power at the new rate approximately 2 seconds later. This was done to improve functionality of abilities such as Evocation and Innervate so that they did not have wasted ?ticks?.

* Mac Movie Capture: the Mac client can now capture in-game video to QuickTime movie files using a configurable choice of codec, resolution, and frame rate. New keybindings have been added to the Key Bindings dialog. For more detailed configuration options please see the Mac Options panel in game. Mac OS X 10.4.9 and QuickTime 7.1.6 or better are required. Not all machines have enough performance to smoothly capture video at high frame rates; end user experimentation will be required to find appropriate settings for each system.

* Pets are now affected by Paladin greater blessings.

* Kill Triggered Effects: Effects that trigger from killing your target will no longer trigger from killing your pet.

* Non-combat pets may not be selected as the target for spells or abilities.

* Non-combat pets now have the tag "Companion" instead of "Minion".

* Being attacked by guardians, such as summoned Treants, will no longer automatically cause neutral guards to attack you.

* Meeting Stones can no longer be used to summon players that do not meet the level requirements.

* Damage and health leech effects always affect flying players even if they are immune to the rest of the spell?s affects while in flight.

PvP

* Dueling players may not use a Lightwell that they didn?t create themselves.

* Battlegrounds

o Eye of the Storm: The points awarded from capturing the flag now increase based on the number of bases the capturing teams owns.

* Arenas

o Arena calculations have been modified. In addition, the penalty for smaller arena teams (2v2, 3v3) has been slightly reduced.

o Items that are indicated as quest items in their tooltips and have a "use" or "equip" ability will not work in PvP arenas.

o Players will no longer be able to change armor once an arena battle has begun. Changing armor will still be available during the one-minute prep time prior to the battle. Main hand, off hand and ranged weapon swapping in combat remains unchanged.

Here are the general patch notes. Class/race specific ones are on the website. I was hesitant to post even this much because it seems like a lot, but the character notes are far, far more lengthy.

Thanks Ian.

Yeah I realize they can be loaded with info. I was mostly intrested in the Voice chat info.

From what I've heard, and tried to experience, the voice chat isn't working properly. Me and a friend made new chars last night, on one of the Voice Chat Enabled servers (some of the servers don't have it yet, including mine :( ) We couldn't get it to work, at all. I'm not sure if it's working tonight, but I'm sure it is. The techs usually have a lot of stuff to deal with after a new patch.

Anyway, I'll try it again right now, and update later. :]

Edit 1: hahaha, it's hard not to laugh at this one; "I'm not sure if it's working tonight, but I'm sure it is." Curse these wandering fingers.

What does the majority of you use, Ventrilo or Teamspeak ? And why ? Me and a friend tried Teamspeak. It worked fine for me but he just couldn't get it to work. :(

@ Blitz

Thanks for all the info Blitz. It's very useful and I appreciate it. I'm level 62 now and I'm thinking about going BM but still not sure. I'll think about it and see what's best for me.

Pozdrav. ;)

* Auction House generated e-mails for successful auction sales will now have a one-hour delay and is no longer instantaneous.

That ^ Is kind of annoying. I get the feeling they are punishing us innocent players for those who buy game gold with real money and are trying to get around the 1 hour money transfer waiting period by cheating the auction system. An hour isn't so bad but its still an annoyance.

Anybody read up on the undocumented changes? Apparently, there were quite a few:

UI & Game Mechanics

- Disenchant received a new icon

- Auto-loot button setting in Interface options has reverted to the default option

Source

I also read from what was posted on the Blizzard forums that they've got new inn music and stuff for Horde made. It's just a matter of sticking it in the next patch as they seem to be trying not to make enormous patches.

Mih, I don't mind the AH change since it doesn't affect buying. Right now (at level 26) I don't sell too much stuff as I'm an enchanter and use up any greens I get (and can't or don't need to equip) for disenchanting.

- Shaman ghost wolf no longer holds weapons or shield while attacking

Heh, I noticed that on my Shaman. It was pretty funny

So!

Anyone try the voice chat?

I haven't heard anyone else speak, but I spoke to a few, and they said they could hear my clear as a bell.

My friend said the voice receiving was terrible, and needed work, but again, I haven't heard anyone so, I can't confirm.

My new main toon. Level 17 Warlock.

I love him to bits...

Anyone know any really good 2.2 compliant Warlock UI's while I wait for Mazzlefizz to update?

Necrosis (sp) is/was supposed to be good, but I couldn't add all of the spells (some afflic ones were missing as standard).

I use a lot of addons, but none of them are lock specific.

Are you going afflic/demons/desto? I was destp for most of my 40s and 50s, but have been demons since the felguard came along.

    • Rufus 4.15.2393 Beta 2 by Razvan Serea Rufus is a small utility that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks, etc. Despite its small size, Rufus provides everything you need! Oh, and Rufus is fast. For instance it's about twice as fast as UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer or Windows 7 USB download tool, on the creation of a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO (with honorable mention to WiNToBootic for managing to keep up). It is also marginally faster on the creation of Linux bootable USBs from ISOs. A non-exhaustive list of Rufus supported ISOs is available here. It can be especially useful for cases where: you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.) you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS you want to run a low-level utility Rufus 4.15.2393 Beta 2 changelog: Add RISC-V 64 support to UEFI:NTFS Improve the guards for using the "silent" option Improve the ability to cancel during write retries Improve progress reporting for compressed image extraction Fix unrestricted XML entity expansion and integer overflow in ezxml parser (courtesy of @esadowski4) [GHSA-55r2-34wg-8mv9] Fix "silent" Windows installation failing at 75% in most cases [#2960] Fix a crash during boot when using UEFI:NTFS on Snapdragon X based ARM64 platforms [#2934] Fix the first WUE option always being checked by default [#2965] Fix an infinite loop when using Windows ISOs that contain multiple WIMs Fix "Enable runtime UEFI media validation" checkbox not always being properly enabled Other WUE improvements/fixes for OneDrive removal and username validation (with thanks to @christian8641) [#2984, #2991] Download: Rufus 4.15 Beta 2 | 1.9 MB (Open Source) Links: Rufus Home Page | Project Page @GitHub | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • Tixati 3.43 by Razvan Serea Tixati is a free and easy to use BitTorrent client featuring detailed views of all seed, peer, and file transfer properties. Also included are powerful bandwidth charting and throttling capabilities, and a full DHT implementation. Tixati is one of the most advanced and flexible BitTorrent clients available. And unlike many other clients, Tixati contains NO SPYWARE, NO ADS, and NO GIMMICKS. Tixati portable version is meant to run on a USB flash drive or other portable media. It stores all its configuration files in the same folder as the executable binary files, and all file paths are stored in a format relative to the program executable folder. It is important you do not delete the "tixati_portable_mode.txt" file within the executables folder. This file is what triggers Tixati to run in portable mode. (The executable binaries are actually the same as the standard edition binaries.) When running the portable edition from a USB flash drive, especially one that is formatted in FAT16/FAT32, you may experience some lag when initially loading a new transfer. This is because initializing and allocating large files on flash-based media consumes a greater amount of time and resources compared to a conventional hard-drive. Tixati has the following features: detailed views of all aspects of the swarm, including peers, pieces, files, and trackers support for magnet links, so no need to download .torrent files if a simple magnet-link is available super-efficient peer choking/unchoking algorithms ensure the fastest downloads peer connection encryption for added security full DHT (Distributed Hash Table) implementation for trackerless torrents, including detailed message traffic graphs and customizable event logging advanced bandwidth charting of overall traffic and per-transfer traffic, with separate classification of protocol and file bytes, and with separate classification of outbound traffic for trading and seeding highly flexible bandwidth throttling, including trading/seeding proportion adjustment and adjustable priority for individual transfers and peers bitfield graphs that show the completeness of all downloaded files, what pieces other peers have available, and the health of the overall swarm customizable event logging for each download, and individual event logs for all peers within the swarm expert local file management functions which allow you to move files to a different partition even while downloading is still in progress 100% compatible with the BitTorrent protocol Windows and Linux-GTK native versions available Tixati 3.43 changelog: Several major DHT improvements Added several screening heuristics to filter malicious DHT nodes, prevent Sybil floods Rewrote DHT search algorithms to add support for multi-path lookups Improved DHT logging, more details in several error messages Extended timeout lengths for outgoing queries over I2P Added incoming query / response per second to DHT table status display Updated Regex engine to PCRE2 Faster Search function, scans • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.
