Well, all good things must come to an end. :]

I move in to my new home on the 25th and College starts on Sept. 2nd. The whole thing is a bit overwhelming, for I have always been a little bit of a momma's boy :p My subscription runs out on the 27th (of this month) and I won't be subscribing for any more time for quite a while. I feel that college + the experience of moving to a bigger city + political science major will be a much better focus for me, rather than, World of Warcraft + moving on to new bosses + Mastering all that is Beast.

I can honestly say that if you enjoy working for what you have, be it in real life, or in a game, this game makes great use of that quality. Sure I've spent 51 days plus with my only character only to not see the end of Black Temple.. or the begining of Sunwell Plateau.. I didn't get exalted with all of the factions or get all the other insignificant things I wanted, but I can leave saying that all the time spent was not a waste for this game unlike some others in the past, did not get boring for more than a day.

Good luck to all, I hope you all have as much and more fun than I've had. :D

Maybe someone has an answer for me here.

I was bored and wanted to upgrade my UI in WOW.

I was using Discord Unit Frames among other stuff, and one of the features allowed images for health/man bars (in my pic below, see the sets of bars to the left and right of the character in the middle of the screen).

Now I am using X-perl for my one I am working on, but it doesn't have the feature (that i can find). I would like to add these images back and have them work as frames, so like as health/energy/mana is lost, the the bar shrinks and changes color.

Is there any other standalone addons specifically for this that anyone is aware of and will work alongside other addons?

Thanks,

Heres my old interface

Cleaning out my bank I stumbled across three Tier 6 tokens I hadn't bothered to turn in (I was saving them to get Season 2/vindicator gear if I decided to start arena).

A couple of trips to the badge vendors, a run to PVP island, and then a quick trip to Hyjal: I now have reasonably passable DPS gear. The only thing severely lacking is a trinket slot, helm (just using healing gear for now) and of course the 4 piece bonus.

http://www.ctprofiles.net/view_profile.ct?pid=77798

I figure I need to run some pug Heroic MGT for a trinket out of there, and maybe a few ZA runs to a better head & trinket.

WTB: Hyjal PuGs on shadowmoon :(

I need an extremely good DPS build for a level 61 hunter.

Unless that build includes "get 9 more levels" there's not really much point.

A few hours of questing will do more for your damage output than any talent choices. Having said that: toss your points in BM until you end up with 'big red hunter' and let your pet do all the work.

For those asking for a list of my addons i used in my ui a few pages back here it is.

http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd26/Ku...2008_205410.jpg

This is a list of most of the bigger addons i use:

Aloft - Better looking and customizable nameplates. (The text over peoples heads)

Atlas - Dungeon maps

AtlasLoot - Adds loot tables to boss information in Atlas

Auctioneer - Manages auctions for you and allows you to see the estimated price of an item when you mouseover over it on the AH and a suggested bid and buy outright values.

AuldLangSyne - allows you to add notes and other information to people on your friends and ignore list.

BaudBag - My bag replacement, merges all bags into one frame and keeps memory of your bank items so you can open your bank anywhere and see what you have in it.

Buffalo - Buff bar style and display customization.

Cartographer - Awesome map addon Smile

CastYeller - Annouces when you are casting certain spells and what the outcome of it was if it failed.

CCBreaker - Shows who broke what CC and what they used to do so. Mine is set to show in only my window but can be configured to show in party/raid chat as well.

Chatter - A replacement i found for the memory hungry prat. Allows a lot of customization over the chat frames.

ClearFont2 - Better looking in game fonts.

ControlFreak - Sheep control and management

CooldownTimers2 - Shows cooldown timer bars on spells and items

CowTip - Tooltip management

cyCircled - Button skins

Dailies - Daily quest tracker

Deadly Boss Mobs - Boss alerts, my personal favourite over bigwigs

Diplomat - Automatically sets the reputation watch progress bar when you zone. Can be configured by hand from zone to zone. So when i enter Shattrah it automatically sets my reputation progress bar to Lower City for example.

DrDamage - Provides additional spell information to spell tips, showing things like estimated damage and DPS and such.

eePanels2 - Create panels for you ui and give them textures and styles and such (Used for the bottom bar and the background around the minimap in my UI)

ErrorMonster - Silences some of the vocal errors and the red error text that shows up. Can be configured to allow certain errors past.

FinalFantasylization - My favourite addon at the moment, replaces all of the ingame music with Final Fantasy type music. Nothing like jumping on my mount to the tune of chocobo riding Big Grin

FuBar - And various fubar addons

LightHeaded - Extremely useful quest information including comments on quests directly from wow head all whilst in game.

MikScrollingBattleText - My choice of replacement for the default blizzard scrolling combat text and much prefer it over SCT due to the many more options and lower memory use.

MobHealth - shows estimated mob health on unitframes

MobInfo2 - Goes with the above and collects information on mobs, such as drop rates and xp value and the like.

Niagara - Allows some quick configuration of ACE2 mods.

Omen - Threat meter

OmniCC - Places cooldown timers on buttons.

Outfitter - Allows you setup custom outfits out of your gear. Extremely powerful with the ability to auto switch to certain sets if you enter a BG or Arena or mount up and many others. Similair to Item Rack

PitBull - Extremely powerful, though quite complex unit frames. This can handle everything from target windows to target of target, party, raid etc.

Postal - Adds a few options to the mailbox and mail functions (Like Open All).

Proximo - Very very useful Arena addons showing the other teams classes, HP, Mana/Rage/Energy and what spells they are casting if you have them selected and what spells are on cooldown.

Quartz - A much much better cast bar that provides a lag bar functionality and is extremely customizable.

QuestGuru - Improved quest tracker and quest window

QuietCast - Silences errors when casting such as target is too far away and whatnot.

ReagentRestocker - Automatically restock regeants based on a defined number when you open a regent vendor window.

SellJunk - Adds a sell junk button to vendor screens that when clicked will automatically sell all my grey items

simpleMinimap - Gives a lot more options to modifying and changing the minimap.

SW_Stats - DPS meter

Talented - Better looking talents window

Trinity2 - This is my favourite button bar mod that i have used so far. It's easy to use, slim and still quite flexible.

Vibrant - Helps with the simon says daily quest.

WIM - A mod to handles whispers/tells and has a GUI sort of like an IM client.

XLoot - Much better looking loot windows, loot notifications and loot rolling interfaces.

There is a few others i use but that is the bulk of them and a quick summary on what they do. Most of them are ACE2 mods.

I also highly recommend TourGuide (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=7674) makes levelling up alts much much quicker and more efficient :) I have actually managed to get my shadow priest to level 25 :) Which is a new record for me when playing an alt. She is the first i aiming to get to 70

LFG: must be able to not pull agro and get yourself killed, run out of fire, run away with bomb, not fall off a balcony.

Looking through screenshots this week, this is the only one I can find where some of our physical DPS didn't manage to get themselves raped.

I think it's time for a new UI: this one's getting stale and it feels really awkward to try and raid as a mage with it.

Does anyone know of an addon that will load profiles for all of your addons depending on whether or not you're grouped, solo, in a raid, spec'd for dps/healing/tanking, or whatever? Even if I had to /dosomething <dps> or /dosomething <healing> whenever I wanted to switch that'd be fine. If not, I'll just write my own but somebody must have already done this.

Does anyone know if there are any official figures for the number of accounts hacked daily ?

- From my personal experience, i would estimate several thousand per day.

The lack of ingame GM control, the lack of widespread Authenticator availability, plus the inherent security holes means it has become a hackers dreamworld.

I have seen players hacked in under 5 minutes.

They were playing away happily, they then got a disconnect from the server. When they tried to log back on their password had been changed.

- They changed their password and logged back on, only to find that someone had used their character to empty out their bank of money and items and mail it to a unspecified location (since there is no mail tracking inside WOW).

Blizzard claim:

a) This is not possible

b) That the system must have a keylogger installed

c) Customer accounts are their own responsibility

Erm... Blizzard, WOW is supposed to be a game for kids (and adults too).

They need to get their systems secure... and fast

- How about a free Authenticator with the new addon WOLK ?
