Gotta agree with ya Evn, can't wait for the reset, and this time I plan on trying to keep real life squared so I can get into a steady raiding guild from the start, instead of months behind like I did in BC. Maybe then I'll be able to see further content.

And ya really think my gear would let me perform there? I know Imba and other sites like the such, but I didn't believe it to much, figured I could handle T5 with no problem, but wasn't sure about T6. Anyways one of the guilds on my server just had a tank quit, trying to join that guild. There 4/5 and 4/9(or 5) so I dunno if they would take me, since people see 3 piece T4 and normally shoot me down right away.

We do pug BT/Hyjal on alts with gear roughly equal to that.

The really hard hitting bosses will tear you apart: Azgalore, Shatterer (paladin on coucil: whatever his name is) and maybe Bloodboil?I've never healed tanks on that so I can't say.

Other than that nothing in there hits terribly hard. You might have issues putting out appropriate threat and you'll definetly suck down more heal attention than somebody in Full tier 5 but the deficit isn't so great that your raid would lack the gear to do it. I think a lot of people forget that when attunement was required for Tier 6 most guilds only killed Vashj/Kael 2 or 3 times before leaving those zones forever, or at least until recruitment forced them back.

Back then there was no ZA, Season 2 weapons were the best available weapon for most people (s3 point selling wasn't in full swing yet). Even the badge gear sucked: you couldn't get things like Runed Spell-cuffs never mind the ridiculous things on the Isle of Quel'Denas. To say that anything like Full Tier 5 is required to make reasonable progression in Tier 6 is a combination of ignorance and bad play. Then there's the fact that gearing somebody is absolutely trivial for any raid-oriented guild.

Well got in a guild on my server in Hyjal/BT. Dunno if I'm doing something wrong or if my gear is preventing me, but I can do a steady 900-1k TPS, and they were asking for 1.4-1.7k TPS. I dunno how I could get that high, without more hit and/or SBV. Using the SS, Rev, Dev, Dev rotation. I dunno, hate feeling like the new kid and being all nervous.

hey Xilo what bar texture are you using for your player/target frames?

I'm not too sure really. I'm using Alekk UI from wowinterface with a bunch of my own mods and tweaks.

Andrew I am a HUGE ACE fan, and I use skillet.. Its awesome.

http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Skillet

DO NOT use that version of skillet. It hasn't been updated in forever and is buggy as hell. Use the one from http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=12781.0

I agree evn. My Paladin hit 70 a few weeks ago and I couldnt get in a heroic or anything. No one runs the regular non heroics anymore so I cant really improve my gear. Luckily I had my guild that ran my scrubby alt through kara and now he's approaching 1500 healing and can pretty much do any heroic/instance.

With me leveling my shaman at a fast pace, due to a decreased intreset in tanking, I'm afriad to hit 70, because those same problems run rampart on my server. I got friends all completly outgear it so I can come in as dps, and get badges/gear pretty quick, but those times I need to PuG just don't happen, or *I* get the guys, that when you inspect and look at talents/gear selection you feel yourself die inside.

I was complaining about this whole bit in guild chat the other day: We're going to do all greens kara.

Hit the AH, buy a full set of greens gear (of the champion, of the physician, etc) and clear the zone using only what drops as we go.

I'll see if we can get a video made.

I don't see a download link in that thread. o.O

In the thread, they are attachments. Might need to register. I actually prefer the lilsparky branch than the one linked above. He at least has an active thread on the forum and is implementing new features/bug fixes. The original author of Skillet is awol and the only thing getting updated that I know of are minor bug fixes by someone else. It's not really good to mess with people's stuff on the SVN, so really there's not much else people can do with the original branch.

There's a post sort of like this on another forum site with Desktop screenshots, that gets regular traffic and has several thousand posts. Who knows, maybe this will be the WoW version of that thread. I just figured it'd be nice to have one place to show off your character and achievements. I'll start by posting a few of my lvl 48 Blood Elf Paladin.

Making my way through Searing Gorge

Waterfall in Maraudon

The Gator Boss of Maraudon with one of his buddies who got in the way.

The farting boss, of all the attacks they could've made up, a giant farting AOE...funny nonetheless

Not the place I'd want to get locked up.

Edit: If this thread already exists, I apologize, but I did a search and nothing came up.

Anyone care to offer two cents on something?

I'm currently a level 117 paladin blacksmith. I'm.. sort of happy doing it.

However.. I was looking over engineering and it looks like it'll be more profitable, and more fun.

What's better for a paladin to take in the long run?

With BS its best to look at the plans that drop from the 25man raids, hell plans in general.

I used to be a BS but I switched as Ive found selling BOE Gear a bit tricky as a BS. Im now an Eng and love my mount and helm. Farmin motes with your Mote Extractor is easy tho and nets a great deal of gold.

BS = If you wanna gear up easier

Eng = Money / Fun toys

    • Apple CEO Tim Cook confirms looming price hikes due to memory shortages by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Memory and chip shortages have led to significant price increases for electronics over the past year, and it seems that more hikes are on the way for upcoming smartphones and computers. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.
    • Downloads does not equal actual usage, even less when the app is pre-installed in some Galaxy phones.
    • +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
