Gahahahahahahahahahahah!! This poor fella still has hope?!!!

(haha just kidding, <3)

The way I see it - he's at Bloodboil, and presumably Archimonde.

Archimonde: can you stay out of a fire? If so: win.

Bloodboi: Learn to move as a group to avoid certain death.

RoS: Teach 2 rogues to alternate kicks and a mage to spam spellsteal.

Shaz: Farm/buy 300 shadow resist for 22 people: no skill required.

Council: Can you stay out of a fire? If so: win.

Illidan: If you can make it this far you only need a couple of weeks to teach your tanks how to tank and people how to spread out.

After that you're in sunwell because you should be able to clear those zones in 2-3 days max and you're out of content to do instead.

Kalecgos: isn't a gear check, if you're "better than average" you'll kill him without too much effort. He's more or less bloodboil round 2. DPS checks are a bit higher but you should be able to hit it without too much trouble even if you stack 9 healers.

Brutallus Have you farmed Iliadan for not less than 6 weeks? There is no real skill required: either you hit enrage or you don't. After that it's just having enough gear & consumables to kill him.

Felmyst Do you have 8-10 healers and 3-5 priests? If so, it's a few days of "stay out of fire" and a few more days of "running from the things that killed you, but only after a few days of "keeping people at full health, but not stuck in global cooldown" for your healers. Once you make it through a couple of clean phase 1->2->1 attempts she dies shortly after.

Twins Teaching your DPS to have the same reflexes that your healers just finished learning on Felmyst. On the whole it's a pretty easy fight, it's just prone to idiots destroying your night.

M'uru Well, thanks for making it this far, you go home now. Any guild not making serious progression in sunwell already has a very slim chance of making it this far, never mind getting past him. It's not impossible, but then again, neither is 3 sets of glaives in 6 weeks.

Kil'jaeden The people I know who have killed him (very few, admittedly) have said that if you can make it here, you're certainly capable of beating it. Of the guilds that have killed M'uru, the majority beat him within a few weeks. The hard part is getting the first part of Sunwell down with sufficient time to attempt to learn the fight.

Friday we are doing Kael attempts. Most guild have stated after you get into BT/Hyjal and get gear from there going back is just learning the phases and you can beat him easily. So hopefully we will down him. Then saturday is clearing BT, we've downed Bloodboil once, now jsut to expose it to the people who weren't there first time, and hopefully Sunday work on RoS. Most of are DPS/healers have there shadow sets already. I know Shaz is regarded as the easiest if not one of the easiest fights. Sunday is the one year anniversary of the guild, and Hyjal. Will clear to Archi and get solid attempts in to him.

If we could make it Felmyst, I'd be happy. If we could make it M'uru, I'd flip. M'uru is my favorite fight. Never been, but all the video's I watch make me love it.

M'uru is just another trash-orgy. I hate fights where trash is the pirmary component of the fight (vashj is the noted exception). Kil'jaeden looks amazing, but on the whole I'd say Felmyst is the best fight in the zone, and one of the best in the game.

Now if only that ###### would drop a set of boots for me...

I realize M'uru is a trash fight, but I enjoy the lore behind M'uru that makes him my favorite, and the bonus after killing KJ makes it all that much sweeter. Like I said, if we made it to Felmyst, I'd be happy, anything past that is just awesomness. I'm hoping we do Kael, get the main group of people there rings (i'll pug Vashj some day) and can soley focus on BT/Hyjal. I'd be happy to kill Kael, clear up to BB and down him, and get archi to 50% or so. Anything like that would be great. It'd be nice to clear all of Hyjal in one night, and have three nights to BT, help us progress further.

I check my email and get this:

w00t!!

Honestly I enjoy PvP and PvE pretty evenly. I enjoy the group effort for PvE Raid encounters, and how free PvP can feel if you want it to be. But, group PvP is a lot of fun too. I don't RP at all, I'd be surprised if even 30% of my server did. In fact, I see a ton of RP-Bashing on my server, which is kind of lame, but yeah.

I'd really rather raid than do PvP if I were to transfer.

What kind of server are you on? If you aren't already on a PvP based server, you cannot transfer an existing PvE server character to a PvP server. From reading your posts it sounds like your on PvE? Just a heads up!

After really getting into PvP during Season 2, I had wished I rolled on a PvP server instead of a PvE one (as well as the proper race, either UD or Human. NE rogue ftl sometimes). I transfered off my original server back in April after getting bored with T5 content and the lack of PvP on our server. About 20 of us that were really into BG's and arena made our own guild to do premades and whatnot, but it just wasn't what I was looking for.

When I transfered to my current server after a few old guildies did to join one of the top, if not the only PvP guilds alliance side on the server, it was exactly what I was looking for. PvE progression was very far along as well if I ever had a change of heart and wanted to go back to that. We do premades every night for about 2-3 hours during the week and even longer during the weekend. Never again will I have to endure through a horrible pug that doesn't stand a chance against another pug. :ninja:

My dual box team (protection paladin and fire mage) just hit outlands today. They got about 3 days 8 hours play time. Not bad...

This team has been so much fun. With so much AOE awesomeness, it gets kind of boring sometimes just killing singles. I know it could be better with different spec, but fire is more useful to me.

Speaking of end game and such: Finally replaced my badge-vendor offhand with 'honest to goodness raid gear'.

One of my friends made a video to mark the occasion (well that, and not failing all night).

While I get that most warcraft PVE videos are absolutely horrible to watch, this one highlights some of our 'finer moments' like dying to ledge boss 3-minutes into the encounter and people with RP-walk enabled on a fight that requires fast reaction time and "running away so you don't kill everyone".

We're still looking for shaman: come on, you know you want to.

If you're still looking for a shaman I saw a guy tripple boxing one 2 days ago in a BG. Was funny they all 3 looked the same and casted the same spells.

I'm just wondering if the following is like this on all servers? For some reason in Quel'Danas alliance has nothing better to do than just kill and gank people at 20%, fighting mobs etc... Not to mention the kids got a new game it's shooting people inside town from outside the guard perimeter. Apparently it doesn't trigger the guards.

Yesterday I was ganked 3 times in 15min just doing dailies there. It's not even funny anymore. I like playing on a PvP server but I don't know what's fun or PvP about stuff like this. Attacking someone running by in the wild is fine, but ganking people who are at 20% or almost out of mana, I really don't see the fun in that.

It's almost only alliance doing this, I have never seen a horde attack anyone. The only time when horde reacts is when it's getting a bit too much and they form a group and just destroy every single alliance, afterwards they break up and go back to their own business.

In the beginning it was fun being on a PvP server. I took part in the TM - SS battles etc... and we had fun. Now I'm sorry I didn't roll on a PvE server with the BGs. World PvP is crap anyway now and the only thing you get is ganking. I have yet to be attacked when I'm full hp.

Funny you mention that: on my server (Burning Legion) all we get is the opposite. More often than not there are more horde than alliance and at a whim they'll go after you either with a couple buddies or while you're fighting a mob or two so either way you're at a major disadvantage.

It's definitely very annoying.

Would someone look at my character and tell me if I'm stacking the right gems for a holy paladin?

http://us.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xm...e&n=Meshack

I just got the shield last night. Trying to decide if I should put the +10 spell crit PvP gem or something else. Not sure what ratios I should be balancing the int, spell crit, mp5, and healing gems at this point. Thanks!

You should be able to increase your mana/5 by 30-50% using just consumables. At best you can hope to increase your throughput (heal/haste) by 10%. Knowing that, it makes sense to stack the 'hard to replace' stat on your gear and compensate for the 'easy to replace' stat by using consumables or raid groups.

Further more, having unspent mana at the end of a fight doesn't get you better loot: so you really only want "enough" to last a normal fight plus a little bit of reserve to handle bad luck. Once you can last through a fight (whose length is limited by enrage timers) the best stat you can have is the ability to 'burst' more healing onto someone. Even when other healers die, it's pretty rare to wipe due to being OOM, more often you end up unable to keep up with incoming damage and somebody either gets put into a dangerous position and then gibbed by a burst ability, or you get stuck healing somebody through 'steady' damage and can't get-ahead enough to top up somebody that's dropping very slowly. More mana doesn't let you heal for more in a given time period, heal/haste/crit do.

If you care about maximizing your raid performance: stack things to increase your maximum throughput (+heal, +haste, +crit)

If you're playing casually and just want to last through encounters without potting: stack regen statistics (+crit, +mana/5, +int, +heal, +haste)

Our paladins generally use the epic versions of the gems you do:

+10 spell crit

+11 heal/2mp5

+22 heal.

The 11 heal/5 int gem doesn't make a whole lot of sense because there are better choices you can use in order to get the yellow or red socket bonus.

Edited by the evn show

Thanks for the reply, the eve show. I have about 10k unbuffed mana pool. Should that be sufficient? Not using +int gems makes sense to me. You do get a small bonus to healing and spell crit with int, however. I think the ratio I calculated was 1 int point was worth about .4 bonus healing, and .17 spell crit. I think int also gives mp5. I'm at work and don't have the spread sheet I used to figure that out.

That being said, I think you are right, about better gems than the healing/int one. And it also looks like you favor spell crit over mp5 for holy paladins.

I probably chug 2 super mana pots on the bosses of ZA. I was to do the other 25 man raids: SSC, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple...etc. Our guild use to do Mags and Gruuls weekly and i've got what i need from them... i actually don't even use the items i got, :p (teeth and eye of gruuls). It looks like our guild is about to split though. We lost a lot of people once school started up again. Damn kids, lol. A lot of us who remain are going to try and get into one of the raiding guilds on our server....hopefully...

I'll go with the gems you have recommended :). tyvm.

I also have got the Chestguard of Hidden Purpose from ZA: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33216

And I also have the Breastplate of Fierce Survival from H MGT: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34605

Do you think I should socket one of these and use instead of my badge chest piece (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34921). I think the badge chest is better than those two, but would like another opinion...

ty.

1 int = .17% crit, or .17 spell crit rating? If it's the former then your number seem really off as 500 int would mean 100% chance to crit after talents and that's easily obtainable (T6 gear puts you at around 450 unbuffed).

If it's the later, you need so much int to make a measurable difference on your crit chance that you can largely ignore that benefit (my numbers put it at 7% for a full set of T6, or around 42 int per 1% crit with standard raid buffs/talents). Priests tend to ignore the mana regen from intellect for exactly the same reason: it's just such a minor side effect that it's not worth worrying too much about. Likewise: 0.4 healing per intellect is fairly minor considering that at very high levels of gear you're still not likely to see more than +150 healing from your intellect.

I suppose you could look at it the other way: Int is a horrible way to get crit/hit but it does improve your starting mana pool. How much is 1% crit (22 spell crit rating worth in terms of int?)

Assume a fight like brutallus: 6 minutes, spam casting. Holy light rank 11 during stomps (around 100 seconds of the fight) and rank 7 casting through the rest. Multiply out the refund from illumination by the average cost of the spells you're casting and you see it's worth around 2.5-mana / second. That provides as much mana as 45 intellect once you factor in raid buffs, crit, and 005SR regen over 6 minutes. If the fight ever goes longer (ie: illidari council) then crit is roughly twice as good as int. While 45 int would also provide approximately 20 + heal, 1% crit on HL7 spam is approximately equal to 0.5% of the average amount healed for.

Looking at our last WWS: holy light for our paladins was around 4.4k/cast or about 22 healing per cast (an average spell coefficent of ~80%, that's about two-thirds better than what the extra healing from int would provide).

about gear

The two 'alternatives' you have are similar enough. assume you dump 22 heal or 10 crit gems in all the sockets -- you can ignore that. 1% crit is roughly 10-12 mana/5 and I'm guessing around 18 +heal for your gear level. Your comparison ends up being

18 heal + 11mp5 vs 15 mp5.

In terms of item level of stats, the ZA chest edges out the one from heroic MGT ever so slightly and it has slightly more armor and stamina.

The question the becomes: do you really need the extra mana or can you use the extra throughput. If you can go with throughput then you have to compare your current chest to the one from MGT. You'd burn 2 sockets on the MGT reward to bring it up to the same level of crit as the the badge item. At that point you'd still be down 9+heal and a bunch of stamina/intellect with one socket in both to fill. The badge vendor item is the winner: no question.

Any fight shorter than 5 minutes is probably trash or something you out-gear so gear isn't really a concern.

I'm a bit of a ###### for greater healing per second: mana efficiency is my smallest concern right now (less than stamina even) because it's just so easy to get more mana.

Don't worry too much about starting mana pool: I have about 10k mana too. Looking at my regeneration:

400 mp5 while casting regen (85% of the time)

1000 mp5 not casting (15% of the time)

100 mp5 from super mana potions

200 mp5 from shadow priest

50 mp5 from mana spring totem

150 mp5 from mana tide

100 mp5 from shadow fiend.

15 mp5 form meta gem

20 mp5 from memento of tyrande

infinity mana from innervate

Over the course of a healing intensive fight I'll spend 30k+ mana. What I start with is almost irrelevant compared to how much of that is generated in combat. Obviously paladin regen isn't quiet the same as a priest, but you still have access to most of those forms of regeneration.

Got a question to other tanks out there, and hopefulyl Adam can shed some light, though anyone would work.

I got a limited gear (skiped all T5 and not much from T4/ZA), so I've been trying to work out how get more TPS out of my current gear for certain fights (Gorefiend comes to mind). The first time I tanked him, I held a 1ktps entire fight. When he got to about 50% is when the hunter caught up to me (2kdps) he feigned dropping his aggro, and nothing caught up to me again until a lock at about 10%. I think I did fairly good, but since then I kept thinking about trying to boost my TPS with the gear I have.

One solution I had was to equip my Furious Deathgrips (i'd enchant with 2% threat instead of 15str). Below is comparing the Furious Deathgrips (with moroes equip'd) to my Warbringer handguards (51stm trinket equip'd)

Warbringer vs. Furious Deathgrips

16.834 HP vs. 16184 HP

18071 Armor vs. 18098 Armor

52.52 Avoidance vs. 51.43 Avoidance

2.85% Hit vs 4.44% Hit

All in all, i'd loose 650 HP and 1.09 avoidance. I decide if it'll be worth it or not.

Funny you mention that: on my server (Burning Legion) all we get is the opposite. More often than not there are more horde than alliance and at a whim they'll go after you either with a couple buddies or while you're fighting a mob or two so either way you're at a major disadvantage.

It's definitely very annoying.

I try to avoid doing dailies by myself because of those situations

Peacekeepers are all over now (on my server, Lightninghoof) by the demons and by the flight masters because of the amount of ganking :p

<snip>

My friends says: "that the furious deathgrips would be alot better for TPS but not mitigation, the boost in hit helps a lot and is almost worth the stat loss if you need that gain in threat"

What kind of server are you on? If you aren't already on a PvP based server, you cannot transfer an existing PvE server character to a PvP server. From reading your posts it sounds like your on PvE? Just a heads up!

Thought they were talking about changing that, since they've carebear'd every other aspect of the game.

My friends says: "that the furious deathgrips would be alot better for TPS but not mitigation, the boost in hit helps a lot and is almost worth the stat loss if you need that gain in threat"

I know it's sit for mitigation, that's why I threw on Moroes, and it only be for certain fights, to boost my TPS more so DPS can go harder. I'm happy with my current TPS with what I'm tanking and my gear, just if I could improve it, makes me a happy tank.

I'm thinking about doing a Hybridadin.

Tanking, but can heal as well.

What do you guys think?

If you are going to tank, tank.

If you're going to heal, heal.

If you're going to do DPS (LOL), do DPS.

Being able to "do" them all means you won't be able to do any one of them to your full potential.

Hey Guys!

I just bought World of Warcraft Battlechest [ US Version ] but whenever i go to WoW's website to create an account, i keep getting an error 202. After doing a google search, it seems that they filter the ip addresses.

Can anyone please help me out ?

Thx

    • The Light of Life? We actually do glow till our Death, study finds by Sayan Sen Image by Rafael Rendon via Pexels A study by researchers at the University of Calgary has found that living organisms produce an extremely faint light known as ultraweak photon emission, and that this glow appears to drop significantly after death. The research was published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry in April 2025 and quickly drew widespread attention, leading to more than 200 news stories about the findings. Ultraweak photon emission (or UPE), sometimes called biophoton emission, refers to tiny amounts of light released by living cells as a result of normal biological activity. A photon is the basic particle of light, and researchers say every living system examined so far, including plants and animals, has been found to emit these photons. The glow is far too faint to be seen by the human eye. “I suppose it has a little to do with people being reminded of auras,” says Dr. Christoph Simon, PhD, one of the authors of the study and a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Faculty of Science. “It is a fact that living beings glow. It’s a very weak glow, but it’s there and visible with very sensitive cameras.” According to the study, the light involved is extremely weak, ranging from 10 to 1,000 photons per square centimetre per second across a spectral range of 200 to 1,000 nanometres. For comparison, a nanometre is one-billionth of a metre and is commonly used to measure wavelengths of light. Detecting emissions at such low levels requires highly specialized equipment. To study the phenomenon, researchers used electron-multiplying charge-coupled device (EMCCD) and charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras. These imaging systems are designed to detect extremely small amounts of light, including individual photons, while minimizing background noise. The technology allowed researchers to capture signals that would otherwise be impossible to observe. The team worked with the Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in Ottawa to examine photon emissions in mice. Researchers took two-hour exposure images of the animals before and after death and compared the results. “We saw that the level of light that they emit – this biophoton glow – is distinctly different between living and dead animals,” says Dr. Daniel Oblak, PhD, an associate professor in Physics and Astronomy and the corresponding author of the study. The images showed a clear decrease in photon emissions after death across the entire body of each mouse. According to the researchers, this provided direct evidence that living and dead tissue produce different levels of ultraweak photon emission. “It’s a very small amount and it’s, of course, very tricky to detect,” Oblak says. The study grew out of discussions between Simon, whose research interests include quantum biology, and Oblak, whose work focuses on detecting light for quantum communication experiments. Quantum biology is a field that explores whether processes described by quantum physics, which studies matter and energy at very small scales, may also play a role in living systems. “Since I work as a quantum physicist on light detection for quantum communication, I thought that experimentally we have a lot of the tools to be able to detect the light,” Oblak explains. The researchers also investigated UPE in plants and found that the light changed in response to stress. When plants were exposed to higher temperatures or physically injured, their photon emissions increased. Chemical treatments also affected the glow. Among the substances tested, the local anesthetic benzocaine produced the strongest emission response when applied to injured plant tissue. These findings suggest that ultraweak photon emission is closely linked to biochemical and metabolic activity inside living organisms. Metabolism refers to the chemical reactions that allow cells and organisms to stay alive and function. Because these reactions change when an organism experiences stress, injury or disease, researchers believe UPE may provide a way to monitor those changes. The researchers stress that the glow is a physical and biological phenomenon, not a metaphysical one. Oblak says more research is needed to understand exactly how the light is produced and what information it may reveal about the condition of living tissue. “We must understand what that is to figure out what’s happening,” he says. “If we can understand how that relates to certain influences on the body – stress, diseases – then that could be used as a diagnostic tool.” The researchers believe the technique could eventually help scientists study health and disease without invasive procedures. Because UPE can be measured without adding dyes, markers or labels, it may offer a way to monitor whether tissue is healthy, damaged or alive. In plants, it could help researchers better understand how organisms respond to injury, heat and other forms of stress. While the work is still in its early stages, the study demonstrates that ultraweak photon emission imaging can provide a non-invasive and label-free way to observe biological activity. Researchers say the approach could become a useful tool for studying vitality, stress responses and other important processes in both animals and plants. Oh, and Rufus is fast. For instance it's about twice as fast as UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer or Windows 7 USB download tool, on the creation of a Windows 7 USB installation drive from an ISO (with honorable mention to WiNToBootic for managing to keep up). It is also marginally faster on the creation of Linux bootable USBs from ISOs. A non-exhaustive list of Rufus supported ISOs is available here. It can be especially useful for cases where: you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.) you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS you want to run a low-level utility Rufus 4.15.2393 Beta 2 changelog: Add RISC-V 64 support to UEFI:NTFS Improve the guards for using the "silent" option Improve the ability to cancel during write retries Improve progress reporting for compressed image extraction Fix unrestricted XML entity expansion and integer overflow in ezxml parser (courtesy of @esadowski4) [GHSA-55r2-34wg-8mv9] Fix "silent" Windows installation failing at 75% in most cases [#2960] Fix a crash during boot when using UEFI:NTFS on Snapdragon X based ARM64 platforms [#2934] Fix the first WUE option always being checked by default [#2965] Fix an infinite loop when using Windows ISOs that contain multiple WIMs Fix "Enable runtime UEFI media validation" checkbox not always being properly enabled Other WUE improvements/fixes for OneDrive removal and username validation (with thanks to @christian8641) [#2984, #2991] Download: Rufus 4.15 Beta 2 | 1.9 MB (Open Source) Links: Rufus Home Page | Project Page @GitHub | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware

Also included are powerful bandwidth charting and throttling capabilities, and a full DHT implementation. Tixati is one of the most advanced and flexible BitTorrent clients available. And unlike many other clients, Tixati contains NO SPYWARE, NO ADS, and NO GIMMICKS. Tixati portable version is meant to run on a USB flash drive or other portable media. It stores all its configuration files in the same folder as the executable binary files, and all file paths are stored in a format relative to the program executable folder. It is important you do not delete the "tixati_portable_mode.txt" file within the executables folder. This file is what triggers Tixati to run in portable mode. (The executable binaries are actually the same as the standard edition binaries.) When running the portable edition from a USB flash drive, especially one that is formatted in FAT16/FAT32, you may experience some lag when initially loading a new transfer. This is because initializing and allocating large files on flash-based media consumes a greater amount of time and resources compared to a conventional hard-drive.
