@evn.

Thanks for the info! I'm still starting to get addicted to the game, despite rarely seeing anyone. I have made a friend though so I'm not totally alone.

My character name is Trogdorramsy, night elf warrior, on the Terokkar realm if anybody wants to help me out!

I'd love to "re-roll" with the neowin guild. (I'll be honest I have no idea what you mean by re-roll :p ) I'll try and keep up with the experienced players!

re-roll - to roll a new character again

(if you still don't get it think waaaaaaaaaaay back to the good old pen and paper days)

Lets go with the Quel'Dorei CST server.

I just made a character! Well two actually.

Deathliaison (DK)

Powershift (Druid)

Both Horde side.

Probably level the Druid first.

I dunno. Really don't care what server we play on, but I hardly no school this week, so I can make a DK get 10 guild really quick and be able to invite whoever or someone else so we can snag the <Neowin> tag and level with it.

Evn, got any server suggestions you got this ball rolling, like to here what you got to say.

I didn't learn about where the phrase came from until I'd been playing for years.

When you make a new character it's called "rolling" a character. My understanding is that when people played role playing games on pen and paper, they'd make a chracter by rolling dice to determine starting statistics like strength and stamina -- hence then name for making a new character in warcraft.

Most people joining the neowin guild will have already leveled one or more character to 80 so starting over is "re-rolling".

I'd say pick a server and we'll meet up to sign the charter later this week.

Unrelated - when did they make it so you could level weapons skill on practice dummies?

Im down for whatever. I have two accts. Will log on to Quel'Dorei right now.

Still would love to have someone do the RAF with.

Everyone interested: Go to Quel'Dorei on, make an alt. Class/race is irrelevant for now, make it a horde toon.

I say we figure this all out later in the week, I can supply a vent.

So Quel'Dorei it is then ehh. Can't even escape nelfs when I go horde! (Quel'Dorie refers to high elves which night elves come from - lore ftw).

I'll get a guild up and running, though if anyone wants to volunteer or provide suggestions for officer system that'd be hawt.

Basically level 9 on my Druid on Quel'Dorei already. Going to use my DK to get some gold and get me some damn bags!

I'll do that tomorrow though, I'm beat!

As far as officer system goes, I'd like to see someone with (current WotLK) guild/raid leading experience lead the guild if we're going to be somewhat serious about doing actual raids.

I'd set membership to "If you're an active forum member and want to join: you're in. If a majority of people in the guild think you're a prick then you're out."

When/if we manage to get enough to raid online then we can have somebody step up and do it. I'm not much of a babysitter but if you need somebody to make a forum post that says "Hey, we should raid on Saturday Morning, say 11:00 AM server time" or "Thaddius: Ian, Slane, Touchy, and Smeltn, and Holy on the left, rest on the right. Positives go on the left side." then I can cover that.

To be honest, that's likely a month away so I'm not too worried about it. Right now the goal should be getting our first 5-man group together and clearing RFC and VC (yes, alliance territory!) How does saturday sound? You'll need to be about level 17 by then.

Just finished light hope battle. Heading to Org once this long ass speech is over. Almost had Rayne dead, got her to 3k HP then Darion went all bitch on me and surrender.

<Neowin> is going to need some signatures!

Animated is the DK I made to get the gold quick and easy, not sure what I'll level though. Warrior, which I know all about and love to tank (mmm dps warr maybe lol) or a hunter/lock because shooting/dotting **** from afar sounds pretty easy and relaxing.

Hows **** censored but not bitch? (S%H%I%T)?

I'm on the realm Terokkar, with a Night Elf.

Seems very quiet! I don't see another player very often, is it just because of the time of the day, or because I'm early on in the game and most people are at different locations on the map?

I think it's because it's ROCK BOTTOM when it comes to progress (http://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/eu) 255 out of 255!

Most players have likely migrated off to another realm. So if you want to save your self some money in the long run. Re-roll on a server in the top 50.

Well, I started my trial account and I have no idea what to start. I haven't played in like 4 months and the last time I raided is back in vanilla World of Warcraft - So I really don't know what to go for, a Tauren Warrior is drawing me though but I just hate low-level tanking, in case I do become designated tank.

Then again, I'd love to give a Hunter a shot as well ... Arg, decisions!

    • It could EASILY be 70 for the base game BUT + lots of FOMO to make it up to 100-120, like a few days Early Access, online money, pre-order bonus cars, weapons, missions, clothing, avatars or profile stuff, etc... And still WAY TOO MANY people would buy those and make Rockstar insane money.

    • WTF! Nah, not this one. If you were back then using computers in the 90s or you had a clue, you'd know this was huge and was seen and overused absolutely everywhere and you'd take this article as no more than a retrospective story. That's all it is.
