They're most likely working on improving the "Additional Instance cannot be launched" situation.

It's pretty much confirmed that this is what they're doing. They've already fixed a majority of the servers, and today should be the last batch. What's strange is that they did the previous hardware upgrades on Wednesdays (at least last week's batch, but I think the first time as well). Hopefully though this extended maintenance is exactly that.

Oh, I must have been mistaken. Either way, I'm glad it's getting fixed. I can't wait for cross-realm instances. It'll make running lower-level dungeons (basically anything pre-WotLK) much easier to find groups for. At BlizzCon, they said these hardware upgrades, while they fix the current instance issues, also lay the backbone for cross-realm instances (Y)

EDIT: Looks like the problematic realms are coming up one by one. But of course Burning Legion will be last

As much as I like the idea of actually finding Wailing Caverns groups, or SFK groups...

It seems like too much...

I just don't like the idea of running instances with items that drop that sometimes can be worth a decent amount of gold, with a bunch of people on random servers, whats stopping them from just ninjaing everything?

What stops them from doing that on the same realm? Getting a bad name? You'll know what realm they're from (I'm assuming it'll work like BGs) so you can easily go create a character on theirs to spam trade chat about what they did. It shouldn't be any different.

So it appears Tuesday's maintenance did not include any hardware upgrades. I still encountered the problem when trying to run Slave Pens.

However, the maintenance happening in 4 hours will (hopefully) be said upgrades...

Yeah hopefully it will include hardware update because I still encountered Additional instances problem last night when trying to run stuff. BTW what faction and what is your char name on Burning Legion?

I'm Alliance, of course :p

I have:

an 80 pally tank named Katastrofi

an 80 mage named Kippy (this would be my main)

and I'm working on a druid healer/DPS at level 62 named Kalindaril

(I like 'K' names)

Oh, hey, I just saw this story on WoW Insider: http://www.wow.com/2009/09/02/yogg-saron-in-blues/... Pretty cool if you ask me.

Eugh ... >.>

 For the record, I really don't care about faction. I'm Alliance on Burning Legion because all my friends play on that server and are Alliance. I also have a geared 80 Orc DK on Spinebreaker and would just as happily go back to Horde if my friends decided to play on that server again.

Oh, and the icing on the cake: my 80 mage? He's a gnome.

BTW, it appears the maintenance this morning was in fact the hardware upgrades! I was able to go into BF and Ramps a few times each (I reset each time, of course) without any issues.

Well some of my buddies are talking about changing servers and switching to Horde. I'll follow if need be, but I'd rather stay Alliance so I can send heirloom stuff to the Worgen I'm going to have when Cataclysm comes out.

Pretty sure a Blue said Worgen/Goblin wouldn't be able to use Heirloom's items.

Pretty sure a Blue said Worgen/Goblin wouldn't be able to use Heirloom's items.

I think it's that the heirlooms just won't be extended to 85. They're not extending them because they don't want people to require them to get the world/realm first to 85 achievements. I haven't heard anything about restricting them from Worgens & Goblins.

Direct from the faction change page:

A realm transfer is not included in a faction change. However, the restriction on having members of both factions on a PvP realm has been lifted, so you can have characters of both factions on a single PvP realm.

So they're two separate processes. If you want to change faction & server it'll cost you a nice $55. No thanks.

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.

The Sennheiser HD 600 has long been regarded as a reference headphone for listeners seeking a detailed and natural listening experience. It is an open-back design that is built around the idea of acoustic transparency which is essentially said to allow sound waves to move freely for a more spacious and accurate presentation by reducing turbulence and the type of distortion that can result from it. At the heart of the product is Sennheiser’s proprietary driver system featuring a 42 mm driver paired with a lightweight diaphragm and aluminum voice coils. The company says this design helps deliver fast response times and better articulate sound across the audible frequency range. Comfort and durability are also key aspects of the HD 600 as the headphones feature soft velour ear pads designed for extended listening sessions. The HD 600 comes with a detachable 3-meter cable, a 6.3 mm stereo connector, and a 3.5 mm adapter for compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment. The technical specs of the Sennheiser HD 600 are given in the table below: Specification Value Transducer Principle Dynamic, Open-Back Ear Coupling Circumaural (Over-Ear) Frequency Response 12 Hz – 40,500 Hz Sound Pressure Level (SPL) 97 dB (1 V) Impedance 300 Ω Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) < 0.1% (1 kHz, 1 V) Cable Length 3 m (9.8 ft) Connector 3.5 mm Stereo Jack Plug Included Adapter 6.3 mm (1/4") Stereo Jack Adapter Weight 260 g Magnetic Field Strength 1.8 mT Driver Size 42 mm Dynamic Driver Diaphragm Size 38 mm Get it at the link below: Sennheiser HD 600: $237.00 (Sold by Electronics Expo, Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $449.95) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
