Put up a rubbish item on the Neutral AH with the character you want to receive the gold for a high amount (or whatever you want to transfer) and have the character you want to transfer money from buy it.

However, remember that the Neutral AH takes a 15% cut.

That makes a lot of sense! Thank you. :)

I was thinking about it all wrong.

I did but I can't find a decent Unholy leveling build, they are all so weird or deep rooted in Blood or missing 'crucial' Unholy talents.

Looks like I'll have to come up with my own, that always goes wrong :p

Unholy used to be the best leveling spec, but not anymore with the changes to all the trees since 3.0.

Only reason to level as unholy right now is if you want the increased mount speed, or you prefer the play style.

I would actually say blood is the best leveling spec right now.

Lol. I'm currently levelling with Unholy up to the +20% mount speed, then going Blood for the rest. Working out pretty well. Moving around is much less painful with the mount talent, and all the blood talents kept me alive for hours without dying/eating/bandage.

Actually, according to James' calculations, Unholy is still the superior leveling build DPS wise, that's not counting the AoE abilities. Blood is extremely close when it comes to average DPS but it lacks the AoE. This was done post-3.0 so it should fly - Of course it's the ghoul pulling its load that puts Unholy in front.

I'm guessing Tukui? Yeah that definitely caught my eye, problem was reading this;

Almost all addons in this package have settings only in .lua files.

If you don't know how to edit lua files or don't want to learn

*a bit* lua language - then this UI is probably not for you.

UI is not for clickers players too.

Don't have the slightest clue on lua editing and to be honest, can't be arsed learning it - I just want a minimalistic pack that works out-of-the-box.

And Caith isn't in a 1920x1200 variant

That's it, TukUI, was easy as hell to setup, just did /configure. On top of that, installed the usual Carbonite, Parrot (scrolling combat text), Deadly Boss Mods and Fubar, and I didn't have to edit anything LUA wise. Recommended dude :)

Also, you might of missed this, on the front page, but...

and Caith isn't in a 1920x1200 variant
Welcome to my custom user interface, called Caith UI.

I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution.

My UI is optimized for this resolution!

Oh for the love of god, I didn't even mean Caith UI, it was LUI ( http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info...I1680x1050.html ) I love the look of that one.

Now I actually have two packs of checking out, thanks for the heads up on TukUI's easy editing.

Currently on Draenor with a Blood Elf Death Knight "alt", just trying to have some fun and BG level him as much as possible.

I do have a few other characters, even another Death Knight level 80 but seeing how I haven't played those for ages now with my WoW-break and all, I feel totally "disconnected" from then, like they aren't even mine and I can't be bothered gearing them up and doing any progress on them. May sound odd but that's just how I feel :p

Only problem is I started without any characters on Dreanor, thus I have no gold ... That's a pretty bad combination if you want to BG-level  started last night, now at 61 and I don't even have 20g.

EDIT: +Anarkii, how do you install that TukUI? The folder structure of the RAR is totally messed up, Font folders, addons outside of the addon folder in "Interface" and "extras"

EDIT2: guessing you just keep the structure and place it in your WoW root and the Extras are just addons not included by default?

Yep, every other folder will just overwrite the default settings. If you don't want them any longer just delete them afterwards.

Browse to World of Warcraft root directory, not the interface/addons one, and extract. It will install what needs to be extracted and where it needs to go. Then simply login, and type /configure. All done :) Then just add whatever other addons you want. (tip) for the actionbars, make sure they are selected in the actual wow options by pressing esc, then actionbars or interface, forget which one lol

Thanks for the help guys but I decided to bin the UI project. I was having loads of problems with addons not working as intended, weird anomalies and the fact it didn't really suit my play-style and suited a leveling character. Not to mention, most 1920x1200 resolution UI scales just turned everything into the tiniest crap I've ever seen - I had to squint to read or see anything, scaling it back up just looked awful and out of proportion with the artwork.

So in the end, I decided to build up something of my own with a few select addons - Something that works with standard and BG leveling, it's not the prettiest by any measures but it works for me :) I will of course get back into some proper modding once the character gets closer to 80.

( Sorry about the quality and all, it's a bitch to even crop or resize a photo with only paint available. )

Looks awful, I know.

Hmm, I'm curious. Were these calculated before 3.2? With the changes to Unholy Blight, AoE damage has suffered quite a bit. I haven't used Unholy since I geared up for DW before that was nerfed, so not quite sure what other AoE benefits Unholy has.

As for items you want to transfer, you'll have to risk putting up at a low price or have that item be the one you use to send gold over with.

If you go the low price item route, do it at stupid o'clock in the morning to minimise the risk.

Unless they changed it, you need 2 accounts for this. So you can get a friend to roll an alliance char and then swim him to booty bay, then have him sell an apple or something for 3000g, then you buy this apple with your horde character and hope your friend will give you the gold!

Unfortunately (unless they changed it, like I said) you cannot do it with just 1 account.

For transferring items, doesn't really matter when you do it, people have AH bots that will buy things with crazy low prices. And they do it instantly, well within a couple of seconds. I had that happen twice in a row, i had 2 game client windows opened and didn't have enough time to even switch windows and hit buyout. Best way again is do the first thing to transfer money then sell and buy the items at regular AH prices.

Ah yes, another Tuesday another extended extended maintenance!

We have encountered some delays and the maintenance has been extended for all realms. We currently expect all realms to be playable by approximately 2:00pm PDT. Thank you for your patience.

Ok, this is becoming ridiculous. Second week in a row. 2PM PDT is 5PM EDT.

For people here telling me it's not common, the people on the blizzard forums disagree. What the hell are they actually fixing?

they are upgrading the hardware on the physical servers so that they can prepare for the new Expansion back as well as for Battle.net implimentation not to mention they have to add more memory and other hardware bits so that they can resolve the issue with not enough instances.

Whatever happened to that ... ??

That still happens ocasionally. I remember we went a month with no maintenance. Servers require software upgrades, backing up, making sure the database is in order and all that. It's unfortunate you havent gotten to experience that but it's just a few bad maintenances out of 52 in a year.

My problem with these maintenances though is the fact that they act like they weren't prepared at all for them. They have done upgrades before but every single time a patch comes out its like "OMG we have never done this before lets keep the servers down for 12 hours and try to figure out what to do". Pretty much without fail they delay putting up the servers every time there is a patch.

They're most likely working on improving the "Additional Instance cannot be launched" situation.

It's not a big deal...
