Indeed, I just got back into the game after hearing about Cataclysm. I cannot wait for the new/old world updates. It's going to be sweet.

Now I just have to get my pally to 80. I'm currently 79. I retired my 80 mage because it got really boring. :p

I'm actually quite disappointed in the Death Knight's PvP abilities at level 80. I've never had so many problems with that many classes! Despite being well equipped, their damage is quite poor ... Well, the damage is good based off 'damage done' meters but that's mostly due to Blood Boil, D&D etc. doing some decent damage to a single target in PvP is pretty average. I also can't believe how out-classed they are ability wise compared to all the new abilities from other classes. I mean, what's this crap with hunters being able to jump back 50ft, Death Grip wasted and then you can get stunned, dazed, slowed and whatnot.

Warrior's whirlwind effect thingy is insane, every.single.warrior uses that thing and it's CONSTANTLY, honestly I don't blame them but jesus christ. Most druids are resto these days, they just jump in tree form and are impossible to kill unless you have some serious DPS, it's a joke! Just keeps going like this with classes, so annoying - I miss the old days.

I've seen so much DK whine but at 80, my god they are pathetic, even seen fellow very well equipped DKs struggle with a lot of classes because of all their 'defences' - I feel like rolling a Huntard ...

Does anyone have a suggestion for a Protection Paladin build, mainly focused on 'recently dinged' and slowly starting to do Heroics, could anyone link me a decent tanking build? I've seen quite a few floating around but many of them are aimed at high-end raiding, weird mutation builds or filled with people complaining points are wasted in this, that, X, Y and Z.

So I'd love some suggestions and perhaps some tanking tips, best rotations under which circumstances, what to go for etc. perhaps an internet guide somewhere would be much appreciated =)

Found this through the MMO-Champion forums, in the prot-pala FAQ; http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin#faNrOG-eJ6mrK,,9901 - How does that look?

I never get why everyone keeps using those specs from every site. Okay, it's a good base, but in the end I think it's more important to get something you like to play with.

For example Sethos, in the build you linked I couldn't see the use in all the extra crit.

When you're doing Heroics first thing you'll have to cope with is crappy healers and taking too much damage. Having enough threat as a protection paladin is really easy and the bonus crit really doesn't have a use.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#sVZE0thbuMGsIufdEb will keep you alive for a longer time and still provide a nice amount of damage because of Seals of the Pure in the holy tree.

Oh I really like that build Ambroos I do have a suggestion / question - Would it be unwise to move the 5 points from Benediction and move them to toughness instead? I mean, as far as I know and have read, mana isn't really a problem for a protadin and thought it would be better with more armour?

I agree, except move the 5 points from Benedictions (Retribution) over to Toughness (Protection)

I enjoy the protection paladin. Here's mine:

EDIT: heh, you beat me to it Sethos.

Oh damn I missed that one :D Yea you're right on that. I haven't been playing since a month anymore now and it's all starting to become a little vague + I was one of the mad guys who decided to go tanking with a paladin in TBC, still got some leftovers from that era :p

* and oh yea, try running some Trial of the Champion normal 'till you get the simply awesome Stamina trinket.

Yes, mana should not be an issue for you. Remember to use Divine Plea before every pull (when it's not on CD). With Guarded By The Light & Divine Plea, you're constantly regenerating mana during the whole fight. It's absolutely awesome and there are very few times you will need to drink.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
