black.ops
i am curious to see what the next best thing since sliced bread will be. i am of the opinion suprnova was a benifit in more ways than one to people and the whole internet community. 585130171 eXeem... suprnova's decentralized bittorrent project. It sucks right now though.

moeburn
Wha? He linked google... get some sleep. 585130166 I have been told by mods that we can't link to google, if we are implying that we use it for searching for torrents, anymore. oddcrap
"From what I've seen and heard in the IRC server's of suprnova appears that a "hoax" has been going around. I can't explain why TorrentBits is down, but if you take a look at suprnova right now, you'll see a invalid page, this is supposedly because they are once again trying to fool the "MPAA" in switching there server's to another DNS, somewhere in russia. I can't confirm that this is 100 true, all we can do is wait." Note: This post was taken directly from the IRC channel and may not be deemed entirely accurate. All we can do now is wait I guess, to see what's really is going on. This is also a "rumor" which sometimes is not always true and sometime it is. Malisk
It's funny how these news came just as I had received my LOTR EE trilogy box from a purchase. I always buy stuff that's worth it, such as that box, but I certainly don't want to pay for e.g. computer games I'll go bored of after a weekend. That just ends up being a really expensive form of entertainment. Some people may hate others dealing with warez but to me it's really a great way to trial stuff, and I'm not using it as an excuse. I preordered both Diablo II and LOD when those were released since I had seen how good D1 was, initially from warez... Just to give another example. If there was no warez, I would of course be able to trial much less games and apps this way, and given that I might purchase 20% that catches my eye in the warez scene, it's obvious they can only lose money from this, in my case anyway. Since I would certainly not start buying 20%+ of new releases, it would get reduced to a fraction due to my uncertainty. And no, not all games are released as legit demo versions you can try out instead, and many are even so cut down that you don't get a feel for how the full game plays anyway. The only way to get a feel for how the real thing plays is to check out the real thing. Edited December 20, 2004 by Jugalator
Saadu
Ok, im going to bed now, when i wake up, i expect a super nova to launch somewhere in an unmanned land where the motion picture ass of amedica cannot reach.
Malisk
Hehe, maybe they should just dig a hole in the Antarctica and place their servers there (they'd get cooling for them as a bonus). That continent isn't really owned by specific countries. :)

Eli
I know this a little off topic but I had to mention that in the link to the review of eXeem, Some guy got a letter from the MPAA about downloading Fight Club for Xbox. How can the movie industry sue for a game? And if they can sue for something they didn't even really make, I feel like I'm going to go sue....uhh....Kurt here for downloading....uhhh...something. Also in Canada I thought it was legal for file sharing.

Eli
My buddy did and I was looking into getting it off of him or something cause I wasn't sure if I wanted to get it or not. If not I was going to download it. They block the most fun mode from pirated copies anyways and that's the online modes.
