Can you buy JUST the PSP from Ebgames or Game Stop retail locations without being forced into buying it bundled with games? I think when it first came they would only sell it to you bundled with games but can you now buy just the PSP harddrive without games?

Yeah, the value pack (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241869.asp), that's what I got, the bundles just have the psp and games which would cost the same only without tax if you bought them seperately. The value pack does include the sampler UMD disc which is sort of nice to see how the psp handles the discs that it'll use when/if you buy a game or two.

I found this interesting (http://www.pspupdates.com/) about a third of the way down (sorry if I'm a little off, they keep on updating the site) there's a download for some psp backgrounds/icons to put on your computer, you just need to have winzip, winrar (my favorite), etc. to open it and then you right-click and push set as background. (better instructions are on the website) Now your computer background can look like your PSP's! :)

Any way to turn your PSP into a portable TV yet?

Well the rumors (and picture) are here: http://addict3d.org/index.php?page=viewart...pe=news&ID=7745 But I don't think anything official has come out yet.

With the new version of firmware coming out I heard something about downloading tv shows for a small fee from certain websites would be possible with the browser included in the update, I'd wait and here from anyone that has a psp tv tuner and how it turned out for them, then buy one.

You might want to look at one of my favorite site: www.epinions.com and see if people have any opinions on it so far.

Although I don't plan on buying one if they do come out with one. I have the tv tuner for the gamegear and it barely gets any channel, especially while your moving.

Right now if you have a Tivo I'd record the tv shows and put them on your computer, then usb it to your psp.

Hey I have a real urgent question. I downloaded the psp update 2.0 from here: http://www.pspupdates.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8927 and it's the japenese one. However my U.S. system recognizes it. They also say on the thread where I downloaded it that it should be in english because of the system settings on the U.S. psp. However I don't want to install it and have it all be in japenese and I can't change it back even when the U.S. version comes out. Phew

Bottom Line: Should I install it or wait?

You don't like homebrew?

I'm not saying that, I can already do most of the homebrewed stuff on my computer and I'm satisfied. I got version 1.51 with the psp and then upgraded to 1.52 when I noticed that the best thing that they had online was quake and doom for 1.50. I just didn't want to wait and I really want that browser.

I did and everything works just fine. The update won't change anything to Japanese.

That's good to hear, but will the U.S. update have more features than the japanese one? Has it been true for the japanese firmware 1.51-2??

Is it translated perfectly? Have you checked every menu?

There's noway to downgrade it to 1.52, I just want to make sure.

Use the arrows to highlight the address bar and hit circle and this will open text entry.

For capitals on the text entry select the lower a/A left button.

I opened the address bar, but circle closes the menu on mine. I'm not referring to like text entry at google. I mean I'm trying to put in something like: www.Article1/something.com. In the address bar text entry it doesn't include the a/A button

Life is good.

I got the memory card I wanted (turned out to be lime green, but it was the last one left at Best Buy!!!!) and I got the dc adaptor (can't believe it didn't come with it) and a umd game Dynsaty Warriors (well I like it). I'm even writing this post with my psp web browser!!!!!! Thank you all for your help and criticism. THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!
