The 'what I got for X-mas' thread.

How do you all know what you got before Christmas, doesn't that spoil all the fun? Plus, from a lot of posts I read it sounds like some of you need to be reminded that Christmas is for GIVING, not recieving. Remember that? I don't know what I got other than a bunch of clothes from Old Navy because I was there when my mom got it. I think originally we were just going to buy some clothes, but since it was just a week ago we decided that she could go ahead and put it in a bag and say it was for Christmas :).

I know I wont be getting the only thing I really did want, a mod chip for my xbox, but that's just because no one knows where to get one, I'll end up getting one of those myself soon. That was fine. Other than that, I spent money I do not yet have to buy my parents and brother gifts, and will have to pay my little brother back (rich ****** :p) once I get Christmas money.

My biggest gift is just being able to be home and see my family and old HS friends and having a break from school ;)

Still the 24th here but I know what I got from my parents.

An Xecuter 3 ;)

A wireless keyboard/mouse combo from logitech.

Possibly a 20gb Ipod (I can hear things in my house :shifty: )

and just tiny things such as Halo 2 prima stratagy guide, Halo 1/2 artwork book (shows you how they designed everything and the background behind it", Possibly a halo 2 poster.

Then of course my other family members will just give me money ;)

Matrix Collection

160GB WD Hard Drive (For My Tivo)

Airport Express

Linksys Wireless Range Expander WRE54G (x2)

Motorola V3 Razr

Simpsons S5 DVD's

Shrek 2

LOTR: ROTK Extended Edition DVD

iPod Photo 60GB

iPod Mini Blue

A bunch of iPod/iPod Mini Accessories

512MB SD Card

I wear the hugo by hugo moss myself : )

Am i the only one that actually wanted socks? I never really ask for anything or want anything from family and friends. If its something i wanted i would have bought it already. That said, I love giving gifts though. Nothing like the thrill of finding a well suited gift for someone, something you've put a lot of thought into : )

My family repetedly called me about something i wanted so i gave them the name of a dvd i was about to buy (ATHF volume 3) .

Seven ponies, a solid gold ferarri, a dog that can bark in nine languages, 800 million dollars, and a yacht.

    • I use it by choice but only for specific tasks that I have forgotten and it's quicker to ask then spend time wasted finding a decent answer on Google or coding a certain language. I prefer to use it. I do think that as it gets integrated into everything, when we eventually fully rely on it, I'm talking new gens not older gens like me, that we won't think for ourselves, I mean we will become lazy thinkers, lazy logical answer to problem which will go badly. But if we don't become fully dependant, we might be OK but I don't think personally we are going to be OK, not for the newer generations. Unless they advance in that space to the next level of intelligence where it can work out its own problems and create ideas for itself.
    • Pity the article on MS website gives no indication when said "20%" performance gains will actually be rolled out to users.
    • I just looked on my computer and there are settings and log files for utilities I have never even turned on!
    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time.
