I know some people in Houston would realy like a win tonight - the tickets are going for pretty good money lol, not to mention MLB would like as many games as possible, because it is all about the money baby!

Stick a fork in the Astros, they are done. Might as well get it over with tonight!

Ugh, I couldn't stay awake any longer and went to bed after the Sox went up 7-5. It looks like I didn't miss anything.

I somehow watched from the 5th inning on...That game took forever....

I saw the ball hitting the blue BMC Software sign, which is in play, not over the yellow line. When I watched it live, I saw how it hit off and thought it was a homer based on the direction the ball took. No one else (White Sox coaches or players) seemed to care where it hit and there is no way the second base ump could tell. At the time, I didn't think it would matter since we eventually were up 4-0. Boy was I wrong. I will say this, having only one hit since the 4th inning was poor. And yes, when I saw the fireworks in the 1st inning, I shook my head in disbelief.

And its over. Congrats to the Sox. They wanted it more than we did. Time to count the days until basketball season since our NFL team is playing for the first pick in the draft.

I live in Chicago but I wanted the ASTROS to win, but hat's off to the ASTROS for playing hard and congrats to the Sox for winning it.

The Sox wanted it more than the ASTROS did, that's basically why they won.

This is our only championship for awhile since our Basketball team is not that great anymore and our football team stinks.

I have been a life-long die hard Cubs fan so many would not expect this from me, but congrats Sox!! I sure would love to see my north siders win the title in my lifetime, but none the less a title for Chicago is a title for Chicago. Here is how I see it though.......Red Sox last year, White Sox this year, Cubs in 2006! :)

Lol, cubs... I also am a CUBS fan, but not die hard, I am not actually a baseball fan but CUBS > SOX. I think ANGELS might make it all the way next year, if they get ahold of KONERKO unless SOX re-sign him, which I know they will.

Yeah, Sox with definately re-sign Konerko. Winning a world series is something why a team holds player.

He is not the BEST player, but he is a very good addition. I think they won because of Ozzie being their manager. He was always great when I used to watch him play, and I think he knows what it takes to make a great team.

Sorry to the Astros get swept, but there's no way you're going to win when you leave 20 men on base!

It's a tradition in many countries. Italians and hispanics are very used to it.
