ZeroBS Share Posted April 4, 2005 You are currently using 21 MB (1%) of your 2055 MB.
Explode00 Share Posted April 4, 2005 If you log out of your gmail account you can see at the log in screen or at least one of them there is a counter for how much space is in a gmail account and it increases slowly and is something like 2055.7435MB its rather neat and if someone who is good at math could figure out how many Megs are added a day that would be nice. I would probably guess around a Gb a year would be added!
[M] Share Posted April 4, 2005 Bad math. That would be a MB every 1 minute 40 seconds 585718359 fiine.. i don't really care, i know i suck at maths, and it's only 5 sec diff :s
Crazysah Share Posted April 4, 2005 One problem is that after April 10th it will always say 2075 MB! It stops going. We will get more space but I lvoed hte counter!
hansonfan Share Posted April 4, 2005 When it reached 2 GB the counter also stopped, so I'm sure they will update the counter on april 10th
[M] Share Posted April 4, 2005 if it still keeps increasing then that would be awesome..even though i don't need that much space :p haha!
galoosh33 Share Posted April 4, 2005 Wow it's at 2057 now. Why are you saying that the counter will stop on April 10th?
[M] Share Posted April 4, 2005 cos apparantly thats the time when the counter reaches 2075 and will stop. but who knows if they google will continue to increase the storage, or just leave it at that.
mrvc Share Posted April 4, 2005 i hope it gets to 100 GB LOL  585706920 Hehe it's like getting a new hard disk for free
yisman Share Posted April 4, 2005 fiine.. i don't really care, i know i suck at maths, and it's only 5 sec diff :s 585723436 If you're trying to make a calculation that you're presenting as accurate, make it accurate. The fact that 100 seconds=1 minute and 40 seconds is not difficult math.
yisman Share Posted April 4, 2005 Wow it's at 2057 now.Why are you saying that the counter will stop on April 10th? 585723773 That's the way the current counter is calibrated.
Catharsis Share Posted April 4, 2005 I've already got 2GB with Yahoo!Mail as it is. But what's the point? I use a tiny fraction of all this space. I was fine when I only had 100MB :x 585706886 Yeah, except GMail is way easier to use, has way better search features, better organization features, less distracting junk to look at, runs faster, now holds more, and can act as file storage using a third-party file system shell extension. Catharsis Share Posted April 4, 2005 Hehe it's like getting a new hard disk for free  585723840 But being limited to 10 MB files. :( It's still enough to store all my pictures from my camera and my mp3s, though. (Well, only if it never plans on stopping counting, or if it goes up to 10 GB.)

BajiRav Share Posted April 7, 2005 Yeah, except GMail is way easier to use, has way better search features, better organization features, less distracting junk to look at, runs faster, now holds more, and can act as file storage using a third-party file system shell extension. 585725994 not to mention the fact that I've to refresh every other time I try to login as it fails to load. (Safari/IE-win/Firefox..on diff computers). This is a really unique feature ;)
Bhav Share Posted April 7, 2005 not to mention the fact that I've to refresh every other time I try to login as it fails to load. (Safari/IE-win/Firefox..on diff computers). This is a really unique feature ;) 585739693 yeah unique to you.
DanManIt Share Posted April 7, 2005 Now maybe yahoo will decide to increase their storage to 2gb instead of 1. Oh well, gmail owns.

+E.Worm Jimmy Subscriber¹ Share Posted April 8, 2005 This just means that no other company will be able to charge premium for the extra storage, because gmail has same for free.
