You guys are whiners. Didn't you know that you can remove all the ads with currently available online 3rd programs?

Not everyone does, no. But frankly, I shouldn't have to run a patcher or nab a resource editor just to get rid of them. This is instant messaging, and supporting their IM service takes a fraction of AOL's resources. AOL has enough revenue from their ungodly membership charges to pay for the service. They probably pay more for their support staff than they do in upkeep for the AIM servers.

I may be mistaken, but don't paying AOL users have to put up with adverts as well? You can't even pay to get away from the ads unless you're savvy enough to mess around with the app, and unfortunately I'm in a position where I have to support the result of this advertising industry. I'm sure many of you understand the hassle of dealing with family members when they call "the computer guy in the family" to do tech support. These are people that don't know any better, and don't want to. The industry takes advantage of them, and then IT guys have to deal with the fallout. Wonderful.

End of Rant.

Perhaps if you actually explained a little further what you meant, we'd all respond to your message, but you make no sense. Are you saying that you could use third party programs to remove the ads? If so, which ones, and link to them instead of calling people names. This just makes you look like a fool.

Heres what I mean by the :) emoticon...

I hope that can be disabled. I don't need epileptic fits from my IM app. There are definitely a lot of nice "extras" in there though. The transition between tabbed IM's is awesome.

wow...another version of AIM...oh dear god please make it stop...

Troll elsewhere. Your post contributes nothing to the thread. For those people saying it's cluttered or whatever, just look at the default msn7 contact list.....'nuff said.

    • Marshall Major V Bluetooth headphones are now up to 47% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Marshall Major V in Midnight Blue is currently $89.99 on Amazon, down from $169.99. That's 47% off and $80 saved on a pair of wireless on-ear headphones from one of the most recognizable names in audio. The Major V is Marshall's take on a long-lasting everyday headphone. The headphones deliver 100+ hours of wireless playtime, which puts them in a completely different category from most Bluetooth headphones that hover around 30-40 hours. You’re charging this thing once a week at most, and with wireless charging supported, you don’t have to worry about additional cables. Marshall promises its signature sound profile, with strong bass, smooth mids, and clear highs. There’s a customizable M-button, which you can set to quickly access Spotify Tap, your EQ settings, or a voice assistant. The design is foldable and lightweight at 186 grams, so it’s easy to pack for travel. And finally, the faux leather finish gives the Major V a sleek, premium look. At $89.99, the Major V Midnight Blue is a genuinely strong buy for anyone who wants a reliable daily headphone without paying premium prices. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cream and Brown variants are also discounted to $89.99, though from a lower original price of $99.99.
