Here's a simple shellstyle I knocked up, 'twas a quicky, but I just wanted something that'll match it better than the Luna one:

Great work, Dazz! Maybe I'd like to have a little brighter brown... I can't figure out how to modify by myself. If you do not have time to do it, explain me how to do it :)

WOW! Looking gooood! thanks man!

I've made a new official shellstyle. It's still looks a lot like original luna exept better imo. I'm going to upload it soon. I'll make an announcement.

a few hours ago we had no shellstyle, now we're gonna get 2! awesome! :)

When I read new color on the changes log I thought a new color variation was added instead of just a recolor... :-(

The buttons are great, specially the caption buttons. And the new menu highlights alone make me want to switch to this style :-)

The tabs and the scrollbars could benefit from some work to make them away from the original Luna/Royale look.

Frankly I liked Element 1's shade of blue more than this one, this one is not bright nor ergonomic, falls somewhere in the middle but not sure where exactly...

This could have been integrated into Element 1 as a color scheme instead of calling Element 2, it would be nice if all the small hard to see improvements were incorporated into Element 1's color too...

Theme Updated

Changelog:

* Updated shellstyle

* Made theme installer, 7-zip sfx, filesize now ~600kb smaller :)

Couldn't set default output though, but this is the path you should extract to:

c:\windows\resources\themes

Make sure you change to another theme before installing or else shellstyle won't overwrite.

Its with or without the shellstyle and also present in 2.1.

BTW, How do you get the shellstyles to take hold? All I see is the crappy XP shellstyle color.

Read post #133. Don't people learn to read in school anymore. Or maybe some skip class to often.

If you want to remove shellstyle it is possible in Folder Options.

You're right, here's one with a lighter brown. It's easy to modify, just open the dll in reshacker and search for the RGB number of what you want to change.

I also modded the Luna Logon, again it's another quicky just so the colours are more in line with Element.

Unfortunately, being human prevents me from perfection

Thanks for the nice VS :)

...And I did change to another theme before installing.

    • OpenAI is making Codex more useful in Chrome and the cloud by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI's Codex now has more than 5 million users, up nearly 4x from earlier this year. To further accelerate Codex's growth among developers, OpenAI today announced that it has agreed to acquire Ona, a company that builds secure cloud execution and orchestration technology for developers. Ona will enable developers to run Codex with persistent and controlled cloud infrastructure for long-running agentic workflows. Right now, most Codex execution happens locally on developers' laptops and PCs, and the agents work continuously for hours. Through Ona, OpenAI aims to make Codex agents keep working for days without being tied to a user’s local machine or an active session. This will be an important capability for enterprises that want to deploy AI agents in production while maintaining control over infrastructure, data, security boundaries, credential scope, logging, and review workflows. Like any acquisition, the deal is still subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Until the deal closes, OpenAI and Ona will continue to operate as separate companies. After closing, Ona’s team will join the Codex team to improve developer workflows. Alongside the Ona acquisition announcement, OpenAI today introduced a few Codex updates. Developers can now save Codex rate limit resets and use them later instead of losing them when they are not needed immediately. OpenAI is also adding a referral option where users can invite a friend to Codex and get a saved rate limit reset. OpenAI today also announced a developer mode for browser use in Chrome and the Codex in-app browser. With this mode, Codex can use the Chrome DevTools Protocol to debug web apps, inspect pages, and work more directly with browser-based development workflows. Developers can use this when they want Codex to profile JavaScript, inspect console output and network traffic, examine web page states including the DOM and applied styles, and more.
