You sure? O2 say they're still having problems with the phone and they're not getting a usable stock until... 10th July I think. Might of been earlier. They were having problems with the firmware.

first order was 1 june - new contract paying ?50 for handset on normal online contract (cancelled next day)

upgrade order 2 june - paying ?50 for handset but cheaper tarrif order cancelled by o2 for some reason

reordered 18th june - now getting the handset for free and getting a discount to my tarrif lol

i received a email saying it would be sent out, then the website said out of stock again, then i phone up the upgrade line said what hell is going on i been waiting nearly 1 month, spoke to some cockney lad he said there are a few heandset going out but only too new customers not upgrades but he must of sent me one out. it was with the carrier Thu Jun 23 06:16:32 GMT 2005 so i think i receive it tomorrow

Yes!!

Got mine this afternoon, bloody eck and what a phone this little beautiful phone it is, been sending music all evening, damn i didn't expect standard earphones to be so good, they aren't that bad.

Camera is brilliant, been having a little fun with my nephew and niece, i can't image what the frames shoot would be like on a night with the boys, haha.

I've had great fun with this phone for several hours, best phone had so far.

Primie.

how would you compare it to a samsung D500 Dazzla? one reason for which i had moved over to samsung was for the menu speed, sonyericsson was just always too slow...wonder if its any better now?

P.S btw im a proud owner of d500, its an amazing phone set... :)

i hear sonys have HORRIBLE reception and stuff with cingular...so i was wondering if this phone, does , infact have horrible reception/qualiy with cingular. cuz this looiks so damn cool.

Any more information on this? I'm seriously considering getting the k750i some time in the near future but my Cingular contract doesn't expire for another year. Is the reception that bad? Anybody have first-hand experiences with the k750i and Cingular?

the menu speed of a K750i with the latest firmware is quite fast.

Faster than it's previous models thats for sure.

However, it does have a few smooth animations that transition the menu's so that could slow down the menu display speed.

The D500 is instantaneous, however the K750 is almost as fast.

I'm sure later revisions will speed it up as well.

@BGM, well it is possible since the headset settings can be altered within the service menu.

Have you upgraded to the latest firmware?

Sonyericsson.com

go to the K750 section and you should see update or soemthing similar near the end of the page.

Sony Ericcsson, although in no comparison to the royal trash that Motorola ****s out, has its downside. The fact that Ericcsson and Sony teamed up when they did certainly does add some advantages but the frigging cost is unacceptable. Whatever sony touches turns into a money thirsty monster. Sony's products are ALL overpriced and i'll tell you honestly, they really aren't that good for what they charge. Now having said that, Sony Ericcsson isn't at all a bad phone its just that whatever Sony charges doesn't add up on paper.

Now frigging Motorola is just downright crap! Almost all the motorola products I have owned including cell phones have been a major dissapointment. Cell phones were cheaply built, had unstable firmware, short battery life and crappy reception. I have a Motorola cordless phone that is not more than 3 months old and it is very buggy. Sometimes I press talk and the phone still rings and other times it glitches and the ringer rings into one continuous stream....but thats enough of this

first off see if the cingular in your area uses 900/1800/1900 because that's what this phone uses. that's a reason why i can't get it since cingular here uses 850/1800/1900

Well, gots me k750i and used it a little.

So far Im pretty impressed, will hopefully be out and about tomorrow so will be able to give the camera a decent test.

Made a few calls, moved the voice call volume all the way up, and well, at least I can hear it now without actually having to force my head inside the receiver !

Im hoping that the case I bought for my c500 is knocking around somewhere, because the screen protector on my k750i was partially off when I received it, and was just getting in the way, so it's gone now.

Hopefully there will be no problems with dust and the usual suspects with this handset, my c500 would look pretty perfect still if it didnt constantly look like winter under the screen (yes I know you can open the phone and clean it, and if you cant do it you can send it away - I KNOW :p )

Anyway, just wanted to add my 2c's and say that its a great phone, also, for the firmware update, is there actually a changelog anywhere? Because I couldnt find one on the upgrade page.

Tah.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
