Yeah that's the way it is I removed the glow just on the disable buttons not inactive.

Update

Version 1.5

-----------

- Visual Style name changed to VistaXP.

- Fixed disable titlebar glow.

- Fixed borders problem.

- New classic start button.

- New scrollbar images.

- New places bar button.

- New tabs images.

- New header item image.

- New black taskbar buttons.

- New black tray arrow images.

- Better progressbar.

- New caption buttons.

I will appreciate if a mod can change the name of the topic to [rel] VistaXP WindowBlinds

Thanks

Thanx KoL for this nice update! Good job! :woot:

wouldn't it be technically better to have the inactive buttons not glow also? At least it visually signifies that those are inactive coz the titlebars look the same for active and inactive windows.

Active and inactive doesnt look the same. I keep the inactive glow because is just the active button, you need to emphasize the mouse over state and the glow looks cool. :D

the close button doesn't show up here, is it a bug

I'll take a look at that.

Kol,

First off let me say you did some very nice work on this theme!!!

I imported Stefanka's black shellstyle into both themes and it added a nice touch IMO. This shellex may be the one you made to go with LE 4 with his permission. If so, you should consider adding it.

In looking at this WB theme I have 2 questions. (1) In the Windows Explorer there is no scrollbar or arrows. Is that a bug or was the theme made that way? (2) The Turn off computer button seems like it has to much white in the top right side giving the appearance it's blurry and incomplete. Any plans to clean that up?

Thanks again for all your time and effort on this!

It doesnt have scrollbar because it doesnt need it. Windows showsthe scrollbar when its need it. I dont have plans to work on that images.

I have a problem. I switched to WB today to try it out (I use the uxtheme patch). I like this theme a lot but I just can't stand the grayish window background. I want it white. I could switch to white very easy when using msstyle but I dont know how I can do this in WB... Click the pic to see what I'm speaking about.

when i tried to use Yz ToolBar with this WB theme, it always changes back to the default windows toolbar whenever i close the window. How to overcome this issue?

In the Windowblinds control panel, disable the option to use a predefined toolbarset. After that it should work fine.

you have to download skinstudio to edit the theme

Visibility settings > Always Show or if you have a disabled close button Show if window has a close button (UIS2 Only) and the one below it to play with.

Just right click desktop and open Display Properties.

Now hit the "Advanced" button.

Then on the Advanced Settings window, hit the "Other Advanced Controls" button.

This will bring up the standard xp color properties window.

You can change the color from here.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.

    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
