When i first installed it i was like hey this isnt so bad...

Then i deleted sum crap and when to empty the recycle bin... and then it crashes and that was RIGHT after i had a clean installtion lol

I had to put the gamepad (usb) when the PC was off, if not Me would freeze :s :ermm: I hate Win ME!!! no going back! never never, Win98SE maybe, or Win2000, but i'm cool with XP now :D

ME had some good ideas but crappy code.

It had all the hallmarks of a rushed poorly tested product.

I think it could almost breach the Fair Trading Acts , Trade description Acts and Consumer Protection Acts of most civilized Nations.

No one actually uses it do they? As far as I've noticed, computer manufacturers knew it was no good right from the start, so not many computers had it installed.

And from what I've read, Windows 98 had the most sales out of any OS by far.

i never really saw the problem with windows ME i used to use it fine - hardly ever crashed, i admit it was a huge cash in

You have to be having a laugh - how cud u not see how absolutely ****E windows ME was.

Even Windows 98SE was a hella lot better than Windows ME in my view.

Unless u r a complete one in ten million case - u just cannot see how much of a pile ot crap it is.

In my experience, computer with over 256MB RAM crashed a lot, windows ME was horrible too, ugh hated it

first its Windows Me, it uses more ram then any other Windows (not XP 2000) so a lot of people had problems with insuficiant hardware. I found it the best 9x version and fast startup

i must be a one in a million case then - my (old) pc came preloaded with it and i never had any problems except for the occasional crash that i would have gotten with any 9x based operating system

If you asked this question a year ago, prior to XP coming out, I'd have said that it wasn't that bad. Now, with XP on my systems...ME seems like a bad joke.

Username , I never had a problem with ME's speed ( except when it was frozen).

Startup and shut down was quick.Shutdown was fast especially when I switched off after a crash.

I decided to test it on my P4 1.8 512mb DDR ram , and yes it went very fast until it crashed .

Thats its main feature , crashes .

It is crap, I got a new computer with it preinstalled and there were errors and crashes as soon as I turned it on :)

I use 2000/XP now :)

It's a bad OS if you are multitasking because of the crashes and other complications it provides, whereas if you are using it for "unattended tasks" such as internet radio and seeking fast startup, then WinME would be a great solution.
