I second the notion that the mobo be put back where the poo came from.

Owned. My question is, how did the toddler crap on the motherboard if there was a bag over it?

EDIT: I wonder how many pages this thread will become..

The mobo was sitting on top of an anti-static bag, not in it. ****ing ****** ruined my damn mobo.

HAHAHAHAHA. :D

sorry, but really, how did he get it out of the bag?

Please refrain from such things as suggesting that he put an ELECTRICAL COMPONENT IN WATER.

you know it wont do any damage if it's not powered up, right?

Ofcouse you can put a motherboard in water and clean it. Just have to make sure its left to dry for a few days.

I'm sure I'm not the only person that has done this??

OMFG, insanity... :x

I would use rubbing alcohol with Q-Tips, so as to not put excessive amounts of liquid on the motherboard, just dab off what you can delicately, don't go pouring it all over, it may damage something....

To the guy above, OMG thats nuts...!! There are some pieces that have holes in them the im sure will hold water long enough to corrorde/rust and damage parts im sure.... But its probably possible but you wouldn't see me doing that in a million years lol...

Good luck, i don't envy your job ahead of you :x

if it was me, id get a couple of big jugs of de-ionized water and just soak it in that for a while and wipe it down really well, then let it dry off completely, for like a few days... just to be safe...

rubbing alcohol also removes almost anything as long as it gets some time to soak....

but dude... how did you let your cousin poop on your mobo? that just blows my mind. look, we need a picture... i cant imagine any of the mods warning you for posting pictures either.

"Shake, you're ruining my moment!" "Heh, your moment. HIS MOVEMENT!"

Innuendo

Man, you know what....I've been online and on the 'net a long time, I mean...dang-near two decades...and I really thought I had seen everything and read everything that could ever be seen on a message board forum.....

::shaking head::

All right...now that just HAD to be said....

I'd go get some of those baby wipes. Buy some at the store or go get some from the child's mother and wipe the motherboard down really good & then sit it somewhere out of reach overnight to let it dry. It'll be fine and you won't have wasted your money. Just don't panic...everything is going to be okay.

I'll resist the urge to say sh-- happens...

So...now that the problem is solved...I have a question. How long are we going to have to wait before we see this on an episode of Family Guy?

twist
Then a more expensive motherboard would have been ruined.

586683219[/snapback]

i hear it has the new "poop proof technology" though. that IS why it's more expensive.
