No, it is like an external PCIe slot, sorta. Although I think there are even USB2 versions of it.

has anyone seen anything on the apple website about being able to install xp on these bad boys? im soo othinking about getting one, but wont until i know xp and vista can be installed on tehre without much apple hardware trouble... id prob have 50/50 partition Vista, and OsX

also, are the key illumination and dimming sensor OS dependent? hopefully not...
