.Neo
How is it SP2 bonded? I would think the only reason Apple is requiring SP2 is because all Intel Macs use SATA, which was not supported until SP2. According what I've read around the internet it will give an error when popping in anything but a Windows XP SP2 disc.
raskren
Don't try logging into a Windows Domain with your uber-1337 Mac Book Pro. In order to enter secure domain login mode you have to press Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously. The Mac Book Pro doesn't have a delete key.

Windows (SP0, SP1, SP2) supports ATA controllers. I doesn't matter if they're IDE or SATA.

Second, there's a Control key. Third, there's an Option key with "alt" written above it. Worked perfectly for me. I logged into my domain just fine. andrewhaji
Sounds exciting, but I'm definitely going to wait for Leopard before I take the plunge. You guys can be the guinea pigs for Apple's beta test. I'm not in any hurry to get a new computer.

Task Manager isn't coming up when I do it. Also, neither is the brightness or the volume controls :s But on the upside, this thing's fast as ######. Si Veteran Posted April 5, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 5, 2006 The only downside to all this is that it's Windows XP SP2 bonded. You can't install any other Windows system, so that's something they might want to work on. Especially with Windows Vista's release somewhere this century. Completely untrue. Having just booted a Linux cd I can confirm it works ;) In fact once you've installed the firmware update, you simply have a pc with efi & bios support. I have my iMac with Windows XP as the only OS right now, I didnt even start the Boot Camp application...
