Bryan McCabe was the overtime hero but he could have been the regulation goat since he coughed up the puck for the tying goal.

Perhaps next year we should seriously start him as a winger who plays the point on the powerplay.

Yes, he's gifted athletically, yes, he has offensive talent but for every "good" thing he does, he goes out and does something equally "bad". Any game that he doesn't get a point he becomes a liability. I think he's beyond the age where he can be expected to improve defensively.

He'd be a great forward and he could still be the PP quarterback since a few teams do use one forward on the point (they go with 4 forwards and 1 defenceman during the powerplay).

WTF happened to my 'Canes? They were eliminated. :(

They looked very average this season. It's obvious Cam Ward was a playoff fluke. Erik Cole is not the same since his injury. Stillman, Staal and Williams didn't play up to last year's level and your defense is rather weak. I still can't believe you guys gave up Jack Johnson!

At the very least it should be a really good game. Either that or Montreal will preform like they did tonight and Toronto will be able to steal it. Did Carbo **** with the lines or something?

Halak let in a goal on the first shot and was pulled after 3. The Habs started a comeback but it was too little too late. Will Huet start against the Leafs?

^ fu ck yeah he will, he's our goalie, and will be in the playoffs. You live in die by your number 1 guy and Huet is it. It's not like he's a bad goalie or anything, he made the all star game for a reason. Sats game is the biggest game of the year... and if you don't beleive me... check ebay http://search.ebay.ca/toronto-vs-montreal_...QfnuZ1QQsascsZ0

What a great Islander game, I was there tonight a huge team effort, best I"ve seen from them in a long while. Jason Blake nabs his 40th on route to a 5-2 Islanders win - 11th player in franchise history to hit the 40 goal mark. :)

PAY THE MAN and PAY RYAN SMYTH too! :)

Halak wasn't pulled because he played bad. The first goal on the first shot, he most probably should have had, but it was also a perfect shot laser beam by Prucha just off the inside of the far post. The other 2 goals he let in were not his fault. Habs played like crap, not covering anyone. Give Jagr a one timer from the slot and see how many times he doesn't score! The truth is that Halak kept us in there, and probably should have been 5 or 6 - 0 after 2 given the way we were outworked in every aspect of the game.

The only reason why Huet was put in was because he hadn't played since February and needed some real game experience should a situation arise where Halak cannot play. It was also meant to give the guys a boost. Obviously Habs didn't care to clinch, or there is some CBC/RDS conspiracy to make the Saturday night game probably the biggest TV game of the year.

The avs won and Calgary lost last night :) Its gonna be a close one for the 8th spot in the west.

I'm rooting for the Avs! It's going to take a miracle to knock Calgary out, but that last game on Sunday should be incredible if it means clinching for either of the 2 teams.

Talk about great hockey this weekend. Montreal vs. Toronto will determine who makes the playoffs (should the Islanders not play spoiler), you have Calgary and Colorado in the exact same situation on Sunday, and Tampa Bay vs Atlanta on Saturday which will most probably determine the Southeast division winner!

Yeah, a few big games over the weekend. I would love to see Edmonton get the win against Calgary, please for the love of god get that win! As for the Habs - Leafs match, that is going to be a huge game, if i was abetting man (which im not) then my money would be on the Habs. I will also be rooting for Atlanta in the southeast. It was such a shame they didn't make the playoffs last year i really hope they can do it this time around.

As much as I'll watch the game and cheer for the Leafs, I don't expect them to win in regulation.

They lost their confidence after allowing the Pittsburgh game to go into overtime after they were leading 4-1. The next game they dropped 7-2 to the Rangers.

You can't really say choke though because hey never had the inside lead on a playoff spot. We'll see if miracles happen.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
