I have to admit I'm impressed by the interface, its much much nicer than iTunes. The only downer I guess is that it won't sync with iPod's, I wasn't expecting it, but would have been nice.

well the Zune is supposed to support the AAC format so how will that work if WMP11 doesn't even support AAC files..?

Its a bummer really. I've never liked WMP10, which is part of the reason I thought I'd go with an iPod since I preferred iTunes (and the iPods are nice to drool over). Now they release a good version of it I guess I'm stuck with iTunes. Surely they could make it only transfer MP3s to iPods, I don't use crappy AAC anyway. :p

From what I can see, the UI is about exactly the same as Beta 2.

1. Download WmTray - direct download

2. Copy WmTray.dll in system32 folder [ C:\WINDOWS\system32 ]

3. Click on Start > Run...

4. To install type: regsvr32 WmTray.dll

5. Restart WMP.

i'm loving it..

i wonder if it does that FF and FW like divx does.. divx lets you see what you're progressing through where as wmp10 keep playing video until you unclick the slider..

It's still black and it's still an incredible poor choice for default install on an XP that's supposedly very blue (not to mention.. white playlist? Who designed the colours, a trainee?)

I don't think MS will be giving a great deal of thought to the way things look on XP; it's all Vista, Vista, Vista now.

I honestly don't see any difference between them besides the absence of visual equalizer in Beta 1.

Does anyone else have a white pixel issue around the corners of the player? I didn't have this issue with the beta. I also installed the final on top of the beta... I guess that could create an issue, but I didn't see any warnings to remove it before installation.
