Intel Centrino Duo T2400 1.83GHz

2GB PC4200 533MHz Kingston

80GB Seagate Sata 1.5 5400rpm

Mobile Intel Graphics 945GM

Processor: 4.7

Memory (RAM): 5.4

Graphics: 3.1

Gaming graphics: 3.1

Primary hard disk: 4.5

But I have a question, the graphics score was 3.2, after I updated the qraphics driver from Intel support website, it became 3.1, why?

Reagrds,

I'll get back to you when the Windows Performance Index decides to work again because, since installing the latest Nvidia alpha beta (ForceWare Vista 101.41) drivers. it's simply stopped working.

Still, driverswise, things can only get better- right? :(

I did little testing with Vista. I disabled as many services as i could and set paging down to 200Mb. If you run Battlefield 2...the game will quit soon saying low system memory. Even though it fixes terrible paging which causes stuttering in the game, obviosly it's not enough memory. Even though system is equiped with 2GB + SLI 8800GTX the **** wont cut it. Vista has the worst memory management ever...total crap. Vista simply doesn't put any app or game on the priority list but only windows resources, and it just doesn't want to let memory go for primary app you're running. I guess if you're running 4GB you're set, because a large amount of memory will simply fix broken memory management "by design" in Vista. I'm not bitching...i simply point out the issues this OS has, and has major issues.

Processor 5.9 (QX 6700 Quad Core)

RAM 5.9 (G. Skill 4GB dual channel pc6400)

Hard Drive 5.9 (WD 150GB raptor)

Graphics 5.9 (Nvidia 8800GTS)

What I don't understand:

My system:

QX6700 @ 3GHz

RAM: 4GB crucial Ballistix @ 1200MHz T2

Raptors in RAID 0 / 1.2TB of Storage

8800GTX

But my RAM only gets a 5.6 even though it's 400MHz faster than the 800MHz your running :s and I have the same quantity.

I wonder how accurate this rating thing really is.

Mine is 5.3

The scoring stinks, You could have a top of the line video card and processor, but have an onboard sound card and you will have like a 4 rating.

Your score is = to the lowest rated component of your system wich is a very bad way of scoring.

How are you liking Vista?

Well I'm starting to like Vista more now. At first I was having problems with my video card drivers but after I installed the latest catalyst everything is working fine. Feels like a pretty XP with more security and some cool features. :D

I like Ready Boost, I have 2 GB RAM and even with that it feels that Ready Boost is doing something, little faster for some programs. What I hate is all the small windows asking about permission. I still have to test some programs that I use on XP and see how they run in Vista but most of the programs use work fine.

Your score is = to the lowest rated component of your system which is a very bad way of scoring.

Yep. IDIOTIC scoring scheme.

Heaven forbid they came up with.....let's say.....oh.....I don't know.....Maybe.....an AVERAGE score!

Exactly! (Y)

I think you've both completely missed the point here...

The idea is that you can find games and applications that will run on your system, which if we do it by averages doesn't work too well, i.e. if you have 4x 6 and 1x2 (your graphics card for example) and you want to run a game that requires a score of 5 (again because of its graphics requirements), if you average this you get 5.2 and therefore it is saying to the consumer that the game will run, when it so won't, by using the lowest subscore, the consumer will know the game/app won't run.

experiencescorefc7.jpg

Specs as in sig. The C2D isn't at 2.40GHz, thats just the "name" it is given.

What the deuce ... I have the same CPU ... but my Vista gives 5.3 ...

Same amount of RAM ... and it gives me 5.5

I'm running Intel C2D E6600, ASUS P5B Deluxe, DDR2 2Gig(2x1G) PC6400 800Mhz Dual Channel Geil ... and Vista Ultimate 64-b.

If my CPU and RAM subscores were the same as rovman's ... my overall rating would be 5.7 too ...

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
