Well, the brake guy let him go before the front right wheel was on. He set off, stopped, the nut went flying forward and was stopped by (I think) a Toyota guy. Heidfeld then started going again. He got out the pit lane, realised the wheel was gonna fall off so did a slow lap to get back into the pits where they secured the wheel and he went out again.

yup, he said he didnt know what was going on untill he left and if he reversed it would of been auto disqualification

ps:- wouldn't it be weird if hamilton wins championship without winning a race? :p wonder what odds are of that happening.

It's possible, but Alonso, Raikonnen and Massa will need a few retirements amongst fairly evenly divided points while Hamilton consistantly gets 2nd and third.

I'm certain Hamilton can win this season, especially if he starts getting some wins.

If Hamilton can keep up the pace with his podium finishes, I dont see why he couldn't win the season. That being said however, Alonso and Massa are on his tail and they will rotate the 1-2-3 position throughout the season. All it will take is 1 DNF for Hamilton (as well as Alonso and Massa) for Raikonen to catch up as well. It's still early, but it should be an interesting season to say the least.

the points system is ****ed up, bring back the old system it rewards the winner!

I'm not so sure whether I prefer the old or new points system. While I can appreciate that the old one rewards the winner much more, I have also found the last 2 years to be more exciting, as the championship has gone down to the last few races.

Good to see both McLarens on the front. I think Hamilton might be on a better strategy than Alonso. I hope so anyway. :D

I heard Kimi cliped a wall which made him go 15th. Also i heard there was something With David and a Renault. Pretty sad really because David does pretty well at this track

Kimi hit something and broke the steering. I think it was his front right wheel. It just wasnt turning. What's funny is that it was the EXACT same spot Schumacher's car "broke down" last year.

Coulthard wouldn't let Kovalainen pass, blocked him on a turn and put him out of position for Q3.

Impressively done by Hamilton! And Alonso has yet another of his "days" :)

And what a horrible race by Ralf Schumacher... However, he didn't make a good qualifying race either and it's of course a bit hard to repair that on Monaco.

If Lewis Hamilton was allowed to race, he will win the championship.

Discounting last grand prix Monaco, there should be no orders for him to ease back and let Alonso win.

Hamilton is going to be bigger than Schumacher.

Dennis is renowned for letting his drivers race each other. Just look at Senna and Prost.

If Alonso and Hamilton where allowed to "race" on Sunday I doubt Hamilton would of won anyway, especially considering the consistant pace Alonso had. Hamilton had pace but he would not consistantly reach that limit every lap. Monaco is so so hard to overtake on anyway, so even if he caught Alonso it would of taken something special to overtake Alonso. So because of that Dennis just thought it would be better to conserve the reliability of the cars and to not let anything silly happen.

Anyway...Hamilton will have his chances.
