Sorry Munky for leaving earlier without explanation i had guests round the house...

Ohh man how i love Valahalla it is the best map evar :p seriously though next time you playing on Valahalla take a moment and just look at the backdrop its amazing :|

So I just played a Team Slayer match on Snowbound (which is by far my least favorite map, and I can never do very well on it)... There was this annoying little idiot that I've played with before but he was on the other team this time and he would not get off the damn Ghost. Needless to say, I hopped on it, punched his ass off, turned it around and shot him dead. Twice. It was very satisfying

Sorry I had to run so quickly last night guys, but the client I was delaying doing work for called while we were in the last match.

So I had my surround sound blasting, and he called for a different number than usual, so when I picked it up he was like "is now a bad time" and I am all like "No, No of course not," while I am trying to mute my controller, turn down my surround system, and still play.

He then said "it sounds like something major is going down there" and I was like "No, No, everythings cool," and then he was like "you sure everything's okay?" and I was like "Yes, everything is fine," meanwhile I am still trying to play this entire time. Finally he says "Larry, are you playing a Video Game while we are talking about my project?" and I was like "No, never, I would never do that, so I put my phone on mute and signed off real quick. Sucks as I was having a good time. LOL

Oh man, busted

I wondered where you went so fast, not like you to sign off without saying.

And yeah Green_eye, thanks for ditching me yesterday :p That game was crazy, the whole thing froze on everybody but me. All the spartans were just walking into walls and I just melee'd everyone to death  You better be on tonight! :p

Kinda a stupid question but what happens when the beta ends?

the core of the earth collapses and the world implodes sucking us all into its newly formed black hole never to say daylight again...

beta stops working/locked out of it

There was actually a glitch a little while ago that kind of revealed what happens. You press "A" to start the Beta, but if it's over instead of bringing you to the main menu it just gives you a notice saying that the beta is over.

Yeh sorry again mate the freezing and a million guests coming over and the fact that i had to take care of 11 kids who had the stamina of a pack of brutes well that kinda worked against playing the beta

And sorry i wasn't on tonight because i took my 360 round my mates house and i got this Game Over message  i think it was his internet connection and i have yet to confirm that so wish me luck :|

And yeh that will pretty much happen....

That or all our balls fall off you decide :p

Anyone who questions my warthog driving on Valhalla should be slapped lol.

Talking about Valhalla, Netrack induced one of those "This is why I love Halo" moments. I was near the middle, just crosing over to their half of the map, when I noticed a warthog in the air, spinning side over side. I had to run towards it so it would miss me. It flew over my head, off the cliff in the middle and exploded on impact. All of this because it ran over Netrack's trip mine. It was a classic moment.

 i wish i could have seen it from your view, i dropped the mine right as i got splattered and saw it go flying.....triple kill btw

Lol, trust me man, at the risk of hyperbole, it was one of the best moments I've ever experienced in a game. It seemed to stay in the air for so long.

I havent had time for the beta :/ I miss the nW games....

Same here man. it truly sucks. besides the one hour I snuck in thursday night, I have not played at all. Even worse, I have been working my regular 9-5 job, with 3 longer than usual days out of the 5, and then coming home and working on side freelance projects for 6 straight days now.

Then today, I actually had to wake up earlier than I would wake up for work during and go see a client today in NYC. 8:30 AM on a stinky sweltering subway train. Pretty much a ****ty Saturday no matter what, but what really makes it sting is this weekend I would have loved nothing more than to kick back and start the holiday weekend on a good note and do nothing but relax, chill, and kill by controller. Instead I am just completely wiped out and brain dead for all practical purposes.

So without question I am just taking it easy all day tomorrow, and I will definitely be playing at some point in the afternoon. So tomorrow is my day to relax, and if people are around lets definitely play. (Y)

    • I used a Pixel 10 Pro XL when it first came out for about 8 months. When I first got it, it was using Google assistant and that was fast, when asking it to call somone etc. Then it automatically switched with some update to Gemini. Doing even the simplist of things like asking it to call someone in my contacts was soooooo slow compared to Google assistant. I guess it had to go out to the cloud to do that? Back on iPhone and while Siri is dumb right now, it does do those simple things, like call someone, set a timer, star the stop watch etc, really fast. That an while I like Google Material Design 3 over iOS 26, they Pixel 10 Pro XL was so slow in comparison to the iPhone 17 Pro I am using.
    • I use Gemini in my rotation of AI clients...that work pays for. It is good at most things, better than copilot for imgage searching and making images, worse at writing vs Claude and way worse at hadling technical issues when it comes to Azure stuff. I also use YT premium and maps. Anything else Google is a pass for me. I have now seen multiple people locked out of their Google accounts for reasons that are just very vauge.
    • Microsoft is building an AI datacenter that "uses less water than a fast food restaurant" by Ivan Jenic Image: Microsoft Microsoft has announced plans to build a new datacenter campus in Pecos, Texas, as the company continues to invest billions in AI infrastructure. The new facility, called project Kilby, will reportedly have a capacity of 2 gigawatts and will be one of the largest single capacity additions in the company’s history. To power the campus, Microsoft signed a 20-year deal with Chevron to supply natural gas from the Permian Basin, America's largest oil field. This deal is set to become the largest collaboration to date between a U.S. oil and gas giant and Big Tech. It’s no secret that Big Tech has often been criticized for exploiting natural resources for its AI developments. Microsoft is trying to mitigate some of that negative consensus by promising to build its own power supply for the new datacenter, independent of the public grid. The Pecos datacenter will be powered by a power plant hub, built by Chevron, with up to 2.5 gigawatts of gas-fired capacity, with potential to scale to up to 5 gigawatts. The facility will include at least seven GE Vernova turbines, with first power potentially coming online as early as late 2027 or early 2028. The power plant hub is part of an approximately $7 billion investment by Chevron, making it one of the largest dedicated energy projects tied to a single datacenter campus in the U.S. Microsoft hasn’t publicly disclosed the amount it’s investing in the new datacenter. Microsoft has also committed to implementing a closed-loop cooling system that will only require an initial water charge to operate. The company said that “the total lifecycle water use of this datacenter is only a fraction of that consumed annually by a typical fast-food restaurant.” What the press release doesn’t mention, however, is how much water the natural gas plant itself will consume, or how a 20-year fossil fuel commitment squares with the company's pledge to be carbon negative by 2030. The construction of the new datacenter should provide over 6,000 construction jobs at peak build-out, and create hundreds of operational job roles once the facility is built. Via: Reuters
