Wow 85mill? Couldn't he just buy much better players instead of just 1?

Or go and buy another football club.

Yeah he already owns or part owns a club in Russia but yeah with ?85m you could buy a handful of talented youngsters from Brazil or something.

Jebus...

That's enough to give >?1m to every single person in the UK>. Sickening if it's true tbh, no one person can honestly be worth that much.

Not quite, more like 85 people according to you maths!! ;))

The reality is though, that he can afford it!

Changing subjects, whats your view on Man Utd's upfront? Now that Olly's gone, they sorely lack in that area!

They still want Anelka I think but Tevez can fill that role of course when he's fit and playing well...

After I saw the last match (united vs spurs), I realized how much United missed C.Ronaldo's lovely sprints from the right side, thus opening up the entire defense somehow.

problem is getting him fit, it'd be fine if we had someone for him to play along side with while he gets fit, it was evident for a lot of last season, we need another striker. a lot of the time last season we only had rooney fit and he isn't an out and out striker

Apparently Rooney is looking like he'll be back a few weeks earlier than expected. I hear he's running now, way ahead of schedule!

Thats not just a benefit for Man Utd then but for England.

Shame to see Ol? retire he was one of the greatest subs I have ever seen:DD

Man utd do need another striker. At best you could say they've got 4 in Saha, Tevez, Rooney and C.Ronaldo

Anelka is a good player, I feel he isn't worth the money or effort. He is a stroppy player and doesn't deserve to play for a top club.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fergie buy a striker from abroad.

Reading between the lines of what the Chelsea staff have been saying Ambromovich does not really want to pump much more money into Chelsea, he only invested in the team initially to get them up the league to generate more money...he wants them to break even by 2010.

Chelsea have a great team, I think Ambromovich's theory is that there is no need to fill it with the world's best eleven players.

They have Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Anderson for the striker roles. I think thats more than enough esp since Saha's nearly back.

I tihnk this may be his last big money transfer of them all if it happens.

He has always harboured a thought of buying him so it wouldn't surprise me if they did go through with it especially as reading today one of the board members said one of the big four would leave (Henry/Messi/eto'o/ronaldinho).

Just thinking everyone will destroy Derby...I actually had a bet for 5-0 for Liverpool to win so this was always on the cards.

Glad West Ham have won :D

If it wasnt for some woeful finishing (cough *Kuyt* cough), this could of been 10 - nil!

Its the league this year for us people, both of em (Champions League as well)!!
