Gearbox Reveals New FPS Called "Borderlands"

Yes! got the achievement. It was so funny!

Hey, finally finished the game. The ending was pretty bad, but the story's not the reason I enjoy the game.

Anyway, I want to finish all of the quests I didn't do. Are there any side quests that are past level 28 or 30?

Alot.

Middle of Nowwhere bounty board, New Haven, Old Haven, etc. There's some odd 130 side quests and like 30 main story quests.

What level were you when you finished the game? My friend and I have done all the sidequests so far and are around 35 and we are just getting past the fortress area or something like that. The middle of nowhere bounty board has a TON of side quests that take you all over.

I was level 35 as well when I beat the game. I was just hoping there would be higher level side quests. Like, it would be awesome if there were level 40 side quests

Highest quest in your first playthrough is 30 or 32 something like that. Your suppose to finish the game in the 30-38 range and start the 2nd playthrough from there.

I started the second play through at about level 38 and whew I'm glad I have my assault rifle! So far the game is pretty tough this second time around and is really giving me a great challenge. Just nine more levels!

To me they have higher health and respawns seem to happen alot more quickly.

For me, the crazy part is the large number of enemies thrown at you. You really have to be a lot more strategic and use more than your favorite gun in some situations.

A bounty board always seems to appear in the Arid Badlands in the middle of the map but I've never been able to find it. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug in the game or am I just blind?

No. I spent hours and nothing is there. It just appears on the map, no quests nor any indication from claptraps to go to it.

Well, I don't think ill get the millionaire achievement, as I have easily had over 6mil of money go through me. Finished First play through at lvl 35. 2nd play through is where the game gets fun and hard. The weapons power are insane as well.

I hope they put a higher lvl cap or something though. I just see it getting stale once I hit 50 and have only weapons to look forward to.

All true but they give better loot. I'm enjoying it more the second time around.

That's what I thought as well but so far, the loot has been just as crappy. High level stuff but nothing has been better than what I already have unfortunately. I still have to use the same crappy shield from my first play through.

Sounds like you'll have to do what I did. Just friend a friend who is on the second play through for example (or late in their first one) and have them give you a ton of loot on a newly created character.

how powerful is your shield? i found one that protects for over 800 points when combined with the correct mod, it was just in a skag pile on a mission to collect the tannis tapes, even online with high level players i havnt found another shield with better protection.

good machine guns with more than x1 elemantal seem nonexistant, all the x2 ones i found so far have crappy damage or clip size :(

I just started playing this game with one of my friends. We both saw a gameplay video, and decided to buy it on Steam.

Problem is, we're that similar we both made the same class. Ah well!

We've just arrived in New Haven. It's excellent so far.

This is a really fun game, just got to New Haven, only been playing single player so far. I've been using the same guns since level 12, somehow I managed to pickup a sniper rifle, shotgun and repeater, all with 5-10x the normal rate of fire.

    • So they saved ton of money by using AI resulting in loss of crap load of money in recalls and expenses. Bravo. Management needs to be replaced by AI, not engineers.
    • Ditto that, I have a few Alexa devices around the house to control lighting and such for a disabled person I live with, and it shows a *lot* of ads on the display. The dots are simple but effective. A lot cheaper too.
    • Go for a Echo Dot or Pop instead. These Echo shows just advertise to you.

NetSpeedTray v1.3.3: The Updater Fix A stabilization release that repairs a critical regression in v1.3.2: the app shipped without OpenSSL, which silently broke every HTTPS request — including the built-in update checker (the "Could not check for updates" error many of you hit). Changes: Fixed update checking — Resolved a critical issue that prevented the app from checking for updates ("Could not check for updates"). Fixed startup crash with Auto-Cycling — The app no longer crashes on launch after enabling Cycle display mode. Fixed incorrect network speeds on 10GbE adapters — Multi-gigabit network cards now display speeds correctly instead of being stuck at 0. Improved color coding — Default color is shown when idle, and color/threshold changes now apply immediately without restarting. Fullscreen visibility fix — The widget now correctly stays visible over fullscreen apps when Keep Visible is enabled. Improved AMD Ryzen temperature detection — More reliable CPU temperature monitoring for Ryzen processors. Cleaner upgrades — Installer now removes outdated application files during upgrades, preventing DLL/version conflicts while preserving user settings. Improved stability — Fixed potential DLL loading issues by excluding critical OpenSSL and NumPy components from UPX compression. Better settings window — Scrollbars removed and layout improved for a cleaner experience. Localization improvements — Updated translations and completed missing UI text across all supported languages. More reliable releases — Added regression tests covering recent critical fixes, bringing the test suite to 196 passing tests.
