it was taped that's why...I expect the live one next week to do nearer 1.0 but still its funny to see them getting whooped repeatedly

I thought this was a great tribute so to speak (even the stuff about HBK being saved etc was tasteful if you ask me aka without throwing it in your face):

Wrestlemania 26 closed with Shawn Michaels standing at the top of the ramp for the last time as a performer.

Shawn did not end his career with as many title reigns as some of the other great Superstars such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, the Undertaker, or Stone Cold Steve Austin. However Shawn?s legacy will not be based on his title reigns. It will be based on the hundreds of superior performances he gave while entertaining us for 25 years.

It is hard to dispute that the Heartbreak Kid is the greatest performer to have ever set food in a wrestling ring. The stats do not lie. Here is a list of Shawn?s Match of the Year Awards:

From Pro Wresting Illustrated (as chosen by readers):

1993: vs. Marty Jannetty on Monday Night Raw

1994: vs. Razor Ramon in a ladder match at Wrestlemania X

1995: vs. Diesel at Wrestlemania XI

1996: vs. Bret Hart in an Iron Man Match at Wrestlemania XII

2004: vs. Chris Beniot and Triple H at Wrestlemania XX

2005: vs. Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 21

2006: vs. Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match at Wrestlemania 22

2007: vs. John Cena on Raw

2008: vs. Ric Flair at Wrestlemania XXIV

2009: vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXV

(and you can pencil him in for 2010 for his performance against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26)

From this list we can see that he had excellent matches with a few competitors that are not known for good performances. Diesel, Vince McMahon, and John Cena have never been considered great performers, however Shawn Michaels was able to carry them to such a level that they were able to share in this award with him.

Also, Shawn spent approximately 16 years total as a singles competitor. Of those 16 years Shawn won this award 10 times. Not only did he win this award often, but during most years he took 2nd place, 3rd place, or both.

One of his many nicknames is Mr. Wrestlemania and for good reason. As a singles competitor Shawn competed in 14 Wrestlemanias. Eight of those performances won him Match of the Year. In the years that his Wrestlemania performance was not honored with this award he still had undoubtedly the best match including his performances against Steve Austin at Wrestlemania XIV, vs. Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania XIX, and vs. John Cena at Wrestlemania 23. His match with the Undertaker from Wrestlemania 26 will most likely take this award as well.

(Matches not mentioned include Wrestlemania VIII vs. Tito Santana and Wrestlemania IX vs. Tatanka. Also, he ?lost his smile? shortly before Wrestlemania 13 and did not compete that year.)

In addition to his many match of the year honors, he is credited for revolutionizing both the Ladder Match and Iron Man Match. While he did not compete in the first of either type of match, he did set the standard. His Iron Man Match with Bret Hart still stands among most wrestling fans as the best match ever using that stipulation.

He also competed in the first Hell in a Cell and Elimination Chamber, again helping set the standard for both stipulations.

During the 90s he was a controversy magnet and participated in 2 of the most infamous moments in wrestling history. Shawn, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Triple H, collectively known as the Kliq, appeared at the end of a Madison Square Garden show in 1996 and broke kayfabe in what has become known as the ?Curtain Call.? Of course he was also a key figure in the ?Montreal Screw Job? in 1996.

In 1998 Shawn was injured in his Casket Match at the Royal Rumble. Against doctors orders he competed at Wrestlemania XIV, passing the title to Stone Cold Steve Austin and officially igniting the Attitude Era that he helped start.

After the injury Shawn, believing his career was over, took a 4 year hiatus from wrestling. After turning his life over to the Lord Jesus Christ he returned to wrestling in 2002. We did not know if he could perform at the level he did 4 years prior, but after a series of excellent matches against Triple H he left no doubt. The Heartbreak Kid was back and continued to leave his mark etched in annals of professional wrestling.

Truly Shawn had few peers inside the squared circle. Other great performers such as Ric Flair and Chris Jericho have credited him as being the best performer of all time. The fan voted Match of the Year honors speak volumes as to how he is revered by wrestling fans.

On a personal note, Shawn was not just an incredible performer. He was also an inspirational man. He set a good example as a Christian, never failing to kneel in prayer and give thanks to the Lord before every match. In his book Heartbreak and Triumph, the Shawn Michaels Story he recounted the day that he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Upon reading those words I was inspired to do the same. On June 8 2006 I knelt down and uttered a prayer very similar to the one Shawn recounts in his book. I was saved that day and have never looked back.

I would just like to say thank you to Shawn. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the thousands of hours of incredible entertainment. Thank you for helping save me. I?ll miss you.

We've got some major news coming out of Tuesday night's WWE SmackDown tapings, set to air this Friday night.

Money in the Bank winner Jack Swagger cashed in his briefcase and defeated Chris Jericho and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

At the beginning of the show, Chris Jericho came out and had a confrontation with Edge. Edge attacked Jericho to reveal that his ribs were taped up from their match at WrestleMania.

Jack Swagger's music hit and he attacked the battered champion. Swagger hit a powerbomb and got the pinfall, capturing his first World Heavyweight title. The crowd was said to be "stunned" after the title change.

I'm all for WWE pushing young stars and all, but come ON. No one gives two craps about Swagger except internet marks like us lol the average fan at a show hates the guy more or less. And they let him beat Jericho? Who is probably the best in the world right now next to maybe AJ Styles and one or two others...

Sheamus sucked because he's just to green. Now Swagger at least CAN wrestle and he's got the in-ring skills to boot. But he's horrible on the mic (not because of his lisp btw) and that chest pounding crap he does makes him look like a moron. Hopefully WWE will actually push him correctly now since he's hardly done anything important at all since late last year.

they'll probably put him up against Edge

fixed up nicely :-)

does anyone else want to toss bananas at him during his entrance?

People who watched Wrestlemania saw the vicious shot World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho took after beating Edge. On NXT, he claims he suffered a concussion after the match when Edge speared him through the barricade separating the announcer's table from the timekeeper's seat. However, that might not be the reason Smackdown is without the "best in the world" for an extended period.

Chris Jericho just posted the following on his personal Twitter account IAmJericho: "Just got selected for sequestered jury duty. Six weeks minimum. :-( Won't be able to work or tweet. See u in May WWE Universe..." This comes just days after Chris Jericho lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Jack Swagger on Smackdown. It hasn't been made official on WWE.com so this is a 1wrestling.com EXCLUSIVE. This may throw things on Smackdown into chaos. The general feeling among those backstage in WWE is that Shawn Michaels is sincere about his retirement. The WrestleMania match and RAW farewell were the real deal. Keep in mind though that he never did rule out another match during his promo on Monday. They also called it a 'farewell' speech and not a 'retirement' speech.

While no one is ruling out the possibility of Michaels working a match or two down the line, many feel he truly believes right now that he worked his final match on Sunday.

During his farewell speech on RAW, he acknowledged there being a temptation to return to the ring but that he was going to do everything in his power to make sure it doesn't happen. With that being said, many feel he will ultimately give in and return for at least one more match.

We'll see what happens but as of right now he's taking an extended period of time off for sure.

    • I think it depends on what you're looking for to do, and the time you have to spare. With my Dwarf 3, I easily spend 3-4 hour sessions; half an hour driving to an un-light polluted place, another half hour unpacking and setting up the smart scope + tripod for equatorial tracking, then 15 more minutes mucking around with settings and shooting calibration frames, spending a few hours shooting, merging with past photo sessions, etc. It's crazy how time flies and I often get home later than I expected. It's something I still need to set aside a good part of an evening to do, all in all. For one session, where you often need like four for best results when it comes to deep space objects. Even with a smart scope like Dwarf 3, regular non-astro photography is still way more approachable to people getting into photography. I find this is a time consuming niche no matter how I go about it. With practice, I can probably begin cutting time here but I think where smart scopes find their home is among people who love to shoot the night sky but don't have the spare time to go deep with the "navigator level" attunement to the night sky itself in addition to everything else. Having said this, _if_ you have even more time to spend on this hobby, it will probably be even more rewarding to do it more by hand and learn the skies and the details of how it all works.
    • I misread the title and thought Teams itself would be redesigned. Imagine having this one as a native WinUI app.
    • Dell, HP PCs ran into endless reboot, BitLocker recovery loops but Windows 11 isn't to blame by Sayan Sen Last month Neowin reported on a major issue on Dell systems wherein a bug in its official support tool was leading to endless blue screen of death (BSOD) and restarts. Following our report, Dell officially acknowledged its SupportAssist-related crash issue, confirming that the culprit is not Microsoft's operating system but rather a faulty version of its own remediation software. In a newly published support advisory, Dell stated that version 5.5.16.0 of Dell SupportAssist Remediation and Alienware SupportAssist Remediation can trigger blue screen errors and unexpected system restarts. The company notes that the problematic component operates independently of the main SupportAssist application, meaning users should not remove the primary SupportAssist software when troubleshooting the issue. According to Dell, the crashes are linked specifically to the SupportAssist Remediation service, which is bundled with SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools, and as such it has since released an updated version, 5.5.16.1, which is said to resolve the problem. Affected users are advised to first verify whether version 5.5.16.0 is installed by checking the Installed Apps section in Windows Settings. If so, Dell recommends updating SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools through either SupportAssist's "Update Software" feature or Dell Command Update. Dell also advises users to back up important data before performing the update and to ensure systems remain connected to power throughout the installation process. If you are still having issues though make sure to report to the Dell support forum. As it turns out though Dell is not the only PC maker currently dealing with update-related headaches as HP is also facing a separate but probably equally frustrating issue involving recent Windows Secure Boot updates that were released with recent Windows 11 Patch Tuesdays. Similar to Dell, HP also put up its own support article where it explains the issue. The company says that affected devices could hit a brick wall when booting as they run into a BitLocker recovery loop after the April 2026 updates. The problem appears to affect systems wherein the new UEFI Secure Boot CA 2023 certificates fail to apply properly. As such affected users will find themselves entering their recovery key over and over again despite the system otherwise functioning normally. HP says such PCs should be updated to the latest available BIOS version and configured with the necessary Secure Boot certificates before installing Microsoft's Windows 11 Patch Tuesday updates. Systems that are already experiencing the problem may require BIOS configuration changes to restore normal boot behavior. Admins can find information regarding that in the support article here on HP's official website.
    • Getting further away from the artistic study of mental disease that was the first game... (which never needed any sequels to begin with) But I get it, a company has to make money. And the second was at least visually impressive, if not in any other way.
    • If its the devs fault you would think Unreal would help M$ take full advantage of Unreal and work with them to fix the performance issues. Otherwise they are catching unwarranted bad press.
