Former World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg announced on his Twitter account this evening that he?s negotiating with WWE regarding a possible return to the company.

?YES.. I am in negotiations with the WWE,? Goldberg wrote. ?Looks like ?ole Hogan and TNA missed the boat. Shame for the fans they didn?t even try.?

While Goldberg has been critical of WWE since his departure from the organization in 2004 and repeatedly said he had no interest in returning to wrestle, he acknowledged a change in heart.

?Truth is I never thought I?d even consider it?then came my son,? Goldberg said. ?No one said I?d wrestle but the door is open again.?

He also added that if he ever steps foot inside a ring again, it will be alongside San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Shawne Merriman. The three-time Pro Bowler is a huge WWE fan to say the least, so much so that he asked their Twitter account on Monday if he could participate in the live chat on WWE.com.

?Also?. If I ever did step in the ring again, I have a new tag partner. He goes by the name of ?Lights Out!!!! the one and only Shawn Merriman?..updating the old Goldberg/Kevin Greene duo,? Goldberg wrote.

Goldberg can be seen on Donald Trump?s reality series The Celebrity Apprentice currently airing on NBC.

The Acorn Online (http://www.acorn-online.com/) interviewed Vince McMahon to discuss WresteMania. The piece also included McMahon discussing TNA, here is what he had to say?

"We're in different businesses. We're in the entertainment business and they're in the ?pro wrasslin' business. It's different markets. When they moved to Monday nights they threw the kitchen sink at us and only did a fraction of our audience. It doesn't speak well for the type of product they're trying to present with the tawdry, blood-soaked action. I don't think that's what the culture wants these days."

The involvement of Rey Mysterio's family in his storyline with CM Punk was proposed to the creative team by Mysterio and was the original idea of a fellow wrestler. Mysterio's daughter Alliyah is actually a model and actress and has impressed everybody with her performing so far.

According to a backstage source, the original idea for the storyline with Rey's family was to be something like the Raven-Sandman angle in the original ECW but a lot of that idea was nixed because of WWE being kid-friendly. Punk would have became friendly with Rey's children and eventually turn them against their father. Another idea would have had Punk cut Rey's daughter's hair but that was nixed as well.

Punk was pushing for a Mask vs. Hair match, but WWE wasn't interested and didn't think anybody would believe Mysterio would lose and remove his mask.

Mysterio has been working with a bad knee for several months and it will require surgery after WrestleMania. Right now the plan is for Rey to stick around and work as long as possible before he needs the procedure. The feud with CM Punk is scheduled to go past WrestleMania.

for the record the raven-sandman arc in ECW was epic! would of love to have seen that again!

Jim Ross said in his blog that Goldberg's negotiations were likely about licensing deals and use of his image for promotional purposes, but would "Da Man" get back in to a WWE ring? He wrote on Twitter:

"Is it out of the question for me to have one more match? Answer is no...my son has never seen me wrestle and I'd love to see his reaction."

Goldberg also asked his Twitter followers who they'd want to see him wrestle in his final match and seems pretty surprised that not many people want to see him wrestle "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He wrote:

"Out of about 200 responses I'd say only around 5% said Steve Austin...WTH????

Stone Cold got one more match in him?

WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has suddenly opened the door just a crack on potentially having one more wrestling match, like many of his peers from the Attitude era.

Austin, who appeared to be in very good shape during his "Damage" DVD promotion and Raw guest-hosting gig, told Tim Baines of the Sun newspapers that he believes he has one more match in him. It's a matter of whether he wants to come back and not be "100 percent Stone Cold Steve Austin" in the ring.

"Do I have a match left in me? Absolutely. Do I want to do one more? I don't know," Austin said. "I'm very content with leaving well enough alone. I don't want to be 90 percent of what Stone Cold was."

The "I don't know" is a major change from Austin firmly saying in interviews that he has no desire to get into the ring again. Austin has maintained since his final wrestling match, which was at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, that he doesn't want to have a comeback match if he feels he can't live up to his personal expectations in the ring.

However, Austin opening the door ever-so-slightly follows Bill Goldberg suddenly announcing negotiations with WWE this week and suggesting he might want to have one more match. Also, Bret Hart shockingly returning to WWE after a 12-year absence to have one more match at WrestleMania 26 on Sunday. Also, "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson suggesting during "Tooth Fairy" movie promotion that there's a chance he would come back for one more match.

Bret Hart prided himself on being one of the top pro wrestlers in the history of the business, yet he won't be in the same condition on Sunday as he was during his prime years. Austin might be paying attention to how Hart looks on Sunday to "give himself clearance" to have that "one last match" even past his wrestling days.

Also in the interview, Austin talks about the Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon storyline, his "Damage" DVD movie, the upcoming "Expendables" movie with an all-star cast of action stars, and more.

Honestly I'd love to have one more match with SCSA. But he's right, only if he can be 100% SCSA. Same with the Rock and Goldberg. Hart we all know won't be the old Bret Hart, and if anyone thinks that they are nuts lol

Definitely agreed. Goldberg was one of my favourite wrestler during the WCW area. It's not Goldberg if he can't be that same goldberg that made him popular, This is the same with The Rock and Stonecold Steve austion. While it's great that he feels he's up for one more match, it won't be great if he can't be the same Stonecold Steve Austin that we all know and love, and basically, WWE already proved that Stone Cold can't ever be 100% Stone Cold Steve Austin, when he Guest hosted Raw prior to Wrestlemania. Frankly, I'd rather it not happen because of this.

Okay not sure what I picked before, but these are my current picks:

* Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon (I suspect Vince will pull something, but his plan will be foiled somehow.)

* HHH vs. Sheamus (This could go either way, but the build up leads me to believe HHH will win.)

* CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio (I think CM Punk will win and Rey will join The Retard Society.)

* Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Jack Swagger vs. MVP vs. Matt Hardy vs. Evan Bourne vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston (Christian will win, but my second pick would be Drew McIntyre.)

* Unified Tag Team Title Match: The Miz and The Big Show ? vs. John Morrison and R-Truth (I think ShowMiz will continue their reign, if you want to call it that.)

* Career vs. Streak ? Winner By Pin or Submission Only: Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (Shawn even admitted last year after Wrestlemania that he only had one more in him.)

* WWE Title Match: Batista ? vs. John Cena (Not sure about this one, nor do I care. However, I pick Batista to win it.)

* World Title Match: Chris Jericho ? vs. Edge (I am fairly confident Edge will win this. Do not be surprised if Christian cashes in the MITB right away on his brother.)

Possible WM Spoiler!

There has been much discussion of Drew McIntyre winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match tonight at WrestleMania and cashing in the briefcase later in the show in "Edge-like fashion" from the master of sneaky tactics himself, Edge. That is not confirmed though. Also note, Edge is expected to capture the World Heavyweight Championship from Jericho tonight.
