Another Provider Drops Extreme Rules

AT&T U-Verse will not be carrying this Sunday night's Extreme Rules PPV. As announced on Raw last night, DISH Network and DirecTV will not be carrying the PPV either.

-------------------

I think the traditional pay-per-view model has been dying for a while now. Both UFC and WWE buys are dropping every month, I'm not sure about TNA. The only places I know of that order the boxing events are bars.

How many people can afford $60 each month for a single showing of a PPV on top of their already overpriced cable or satellite bill?

PPV is dying but due to a network (something that the WWE has successfully implemented and the UFC is struggling to) providing a much steadier and growable cashflow. UFC numbers have been up and down in the last year but UFC 167-168 combined did 1.6 million buys. UFC 172, last weekend, should hit around 400K buys. UFC numbers tower over WWE PPV numbers (their only seller is Wrestlemania, most PPVs do under 200K rarely breaking 300K).

Pretty big signing for whoever gets him. He did have a tryout at the WWE Performance Centre this year but he said he wasn't offered or looking for a contract; simply fulfilling a dream. http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=83258

If he goes to TNA it will be a waste

ROH would be perfect

    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.

    • Or use Epic games and get full games for free. lol Steam and their demos. Thankfully there’s competition
    • Maybe I missed it, but does this say anywhere that the game save bug has been squashed? I haven't encountered it myself, but it would be nice to know I'm good to go. Anyway, amazingly well done game. Mostly more of the same. ...but when the same is best in class with improved graphics and features, then a win.
    • Well when your game flops, you should expect this. If I do bad at work, I would expect a layoff. Less than 1600 people played it on steam. https://steamdb.info/app/1934570/charts/
