National Hockey League 2007-08 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Recommended Posts

You guys asked earlier why the team stopped skating. I find it quite simple actually, I believe Montreal took their opponent too lightly. They coasted through the first four games really and decided to stop skating. It's the Stanley Cup playoffs, and no matter who you are facing, you can never stop skating. They were the better team and finally finished Boston off, but they will need to play with MUCH more urgency next round, or they won't have time to recover.

Man, I really hope Calgary wins, it's been years since I've ever cheered for them, it's kind of funny :p

Washington isn't laying dead, but even if they win game 7 I don't see them moving past the 2nd round.

Anaheim really surprised me this year, I wouldn't want to be a player in that dressing room after Burke sends them crying to their mommies.

Game with Calgary and Sharks is soon...Come on Flames!

And Montreal sure knows how to party! lol

All those arrested were men, three were minors. Some 10 businesses were damaged as well as 16 cars. Some police vehicles were set ablaze during the incident and police estimate damages to their cars at about $500,000.

The 16 people arrested face a number of charges - including breaking and entering a business, armed assault on a police officer, mischief on a police vehicle, assault and various bylaw infractions.

Not able to watch the Flames on TV. But been refreshing the EPSN page, last I checked Flames were up 2-1 and now they are down 5-2. :(

flames are done..

They might come back...not likely though :( 13 shots on net compared to 35. Pathitic...the flames never shoot!

BTW, awesome video! Thats some crazy stuff...they sure get excited about hockey. Not their first riot lol

Edit:

Looks like its all up to Montreal now...I don't like any other teams playing...Flames had better learn to shoot more for next year. 22-41. Go Montreal

that video is sad (the second one posted).. i don't know why Quebecers do this type of ****.. it's not like this is the first time this has happened. It's one thing to be passionate about your hockey team etc. But what does this prove, other then you're just a bunch of ignorant idiots.

I won't speak for everyone here, but Quebecers in general have a reputation of being hated by most other Canadians, because of behavior like this and how rude and ignorant some french Canadians can be, it's just so sad to see this type of thing after just a great event.

Why would someone risk themselves (on video) trashing a police car and going to jail because you're favorite hockey team just won a series.. i don't get it.

Check this one out... Sergei Kostitsyn caught in the middle of the partying lol

video is inversed for some reason

haha that is so awkward. i think they scared him away. if i was them, i'd be hiding in the back of some random car just to get outta there faster.

philly had a bit of luck, but i didn't think they played bad. montreal seemed to play kinda slow until the end which i guess is all the counts. like kovalev said in the CBC interview at the end "they found a way to win" even though they didn't play as well as game 7 vs boston.

i hope there's no stupid rioting tonight...

Wings beat the Av's 4-3. Wings lead series 1-0. :D

Unfortunately I was at school so I wasn't able to see the game, but I'm still hoping the Avs will come back and kick some arse. We'll just have to wait and see...

I missed the Habs 'n Philly match because of my exam. At least the examiners wrote the scores on the blackboard. That just made us more nervous when we saw Philly 2-0

i hope there's no stupid rioting tonight...
Haha it's awesome

Downtown Montreal is always filled up of cop cars now, imagine in the following games :D

    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
