Newcastle have completed the signing of Spain Under-21 striker Xisco, 22, on a five-year deal. Fashionably late, I think you call it nowadays.

I guess that he is not playing for the U21's anymore!

0034: ENORMOUS BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS

The Spurs website says they have agreed to sell Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United for ?30.75m, with Fraizer Campbell going to Spurs on a season-long loan. Did you get all that?

0033: "Mark Hughes, what a legend... why sign Ronaldinho for ?12m at 28, when you can get the next in line at 24 for ?34m - what a signing! Wright-Phillips on one wing, Robinho on the other with Elano and Michael Johnson in the middle - class!"

BBC

I like the fact that once again Man Utd get away with murder by "paying off" Spurs. It is a bit naughty to give a medical to a player when you don't have permission from his club isn't it?

Ferguson is such a hypocrite, if Real Madrid did this with Ronaldo...

you're assuming one major thing, just because there was nothing public about it, doesn't mean they didnt have permission

I wonder why Man United would need another striker when they could use, Rooney, Tevez or even Ronaldo.... They just seem to be hoarding talent.

a) Ronaldo is not a striker

b) Have you seen Rooneys performance as of late?

c) If Rooney/Tevez get injured/need a break who do we play up front?

d) Check Tevez/Rooney's goals from last leason, hardly a Ruud Van Nistelrooy type performance

Man Utd needed a new striker badly.

e) ronaldo is secretly leaving in January and fergie knows!

The new owner of Manchester City, Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim, has intimated that Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment (ADUG) could back a ?135million bid for Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo in January.

The agreement of an ADUG takeover deal at Eastlands was announced on Monday and was followed by the shock capture of Real Madrid forward Robinho for a British record fee of ?32.5million.

Chief executive of Hydra Properties, Al-Fahim is reportedly 10 times richer than his counterpart at Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, and he has revealed there are plans to bring in a 'minimum 18' players to the club.

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," Al-Fahim said in The Guardian.

"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160million (?90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240million (?135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."

It is also reported City will look to target the likes of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas as the club aim to build a side capable of achieving success in Europe's most prestigious competition.

Al-Fahim added: "We want a team who can win the UEFA Champions League. We're not just going to spend money on anyone, but if we can get the biggest players in the world, and of course if the manager wants them, then we will get them."

:o was my first reaction too.. Just when Spurs tht they could get into top 4 :p its getting tough now.. I doubt they will be finishing top four this season but next season.. 2-3 more big signings like this and they can easily take oneof the big 4 teams out.. Don't think Ronaldo will sign for them.. he's going to Real but they will get a lot more.. maybe Kaka and Benzema?? Arsenal is the only majority British owned club left amonst the top ones.. Where is Usmanov??? :p

West Ham have announced they have signed David Di Michele and Herita Ilunga, with both deals subject to registration by the Premier League.

The news comes after Monday night's transfer window deadline and in a statement on the club's official website, the Hammers acknowledged "the lateness of this announcement", blaming administrative issues.

The duo have arrived at Upton Park on season-long loans with a view to making their deals permanent.

Italian striker David Di Michele has arrived from Torino after being linked with a move to Roma during the summer.

Left-back Ilunga, who was linked with Newcastle and Celtic during the transfer window, joins from Toulouse.

West Ham have also confirmed that they are still hoping to sign Ghana captain Stephen Appiah who is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Fenerbahce.

The statement read: "The club recognise the lateness of this announcement but certain formalities including the release of international transfer certificates had to be completed.

"West Ham can also confirm discussions with Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah are ongoing."

having money will get clubs to accept fees, it will not make all players come, look at berbatov, he is meant to have had a bigger wage offer from city but didn't go there did he?

and your point? Look at Robinho, who in fact said he ONLY wanted to play for Chelsea... look what happened.

Your logic is flawed my friend :)

read my post again, i said *all* players, there are still those who know who they want to play for and ignore bigger offers, torress is another, he wanted to play for liverpool and rejected bigger paying offers elsewhere, look at the arsenal players, they don't get paid as much as others but don't leave do they?

as for robinho, how much of his move was down to not wanting to stay at real madrid?

I agree.. but big players want to go to teams where they feel they can win things and if Man City gets 2-3 more big players.. lets say Kaka, Gattuso and Ronaldo... then they will start winning big cups and more big players will follow... its not good for teams who make them into stars.. only to lose them to teams with more money.. see how Hleb left us and Ronaldo was screaming he wants to leave.. if Arsenal and other teams who are big now.. don't get money from somewhere fast.. we can lose superstars to big money clubs.. sad situation really for EPL in the way the clubs are taken over by foreigners who are not even the fans of the clubs they invest in!!

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.

    • Alien Isolation 2 will bring a new protagonist and setting, watch the reveal trailer here by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Only a few weeks ago, Sega and Creative Assembly dropped a teaser for a new Alien Isolation. Today at Summer Game Fest, Alien: Isolation 2 was officially announced with a new trailer while also confirming a whole lot of information about the setting of this survival horror project. Check out the reveal trailer above. Leaving behind the Sevastopol space station, the sequel will take players to a remote colony world. With a Xenomorph (or more) on the loose, players will be navigating both the surface of the weather-ravaged planet as well as "the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of Kurosaki Station." Interestingly, Creative Assembly is leaving behind Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Alien's Ellen Ripley, as the protagonist too. While it hasn't confirmed a name yet, players will be taking the role of a new character for this new adventure. The setting is also being described as a new hunting ground for the Alien. This will have players improvising and developing new tools to aid in their survival and escape, all to avoid "cinema’s deadliest killer." "It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel," says Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly. "Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer." Promising the same deadly tension from the original from over a decade ago, Alien: Isolation 2 is in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. A release date has not been announced yet.
