Hopefully the last class to get upgrades is the sniper. Last thing we need are more ways for sniper ###### to keep going left, right, POW, left, right, POW, POW, and racking up 30+ more points than the number 2 guy on their team.

Here's a nice demo to show when sniper ###### get out of hand with hacks: Download here

(unzip the file to a convenient location, then start up TF2 and type 'demoui' in the console)

Maybe one day I'll finally get around to playing sniper. Until then, I'll continue cursing them off. :p

I've not come across anyone cheating, though I have come across plenty of accusations.

NEway, I've been having lots of fun since the latest update. I've already got all the heavy unlocks (it was great fun sneaking up on an engineer and killing him with a taunt). I'm really liking pl_badwater, which is much more fun than pl_goldrush - the Arena maps are also nice (I like the new theme for Lumberyard), though I can't say I play them much. I hope the next update is for the spy, as I rarely ever play it - I only got past an hour playtime last night and I pre-ordered The Orange Box to get access to the TF2 beta.

Sniper is still my most played class.

I don't understand why Valve can't block these aimbots and wall hacks, I hate playing against someone who is cheating

They've got VAC, the best bet is to play on a vac secured server, and make sure it's a pure server too (material based wallhacks are even easier to make, and have nothing to do with VAC)

I played TF2 last night and it seems everyone is a Heavy. I tried to play Heavy and do the achievements but it's really hard, I might have to go to an achievement server just to do it, though I would rather not do so.

It happen to me as well in the servers I play (Starhub, BolehVPN, GameArena) and when we find one is cheating, all of us just become spectators and wait for him to leave. I do admit it is annoying to play against these people but it's their choice if they want to cheat. If that's how they want to play, so be it, I don't care as sooner or later it will come back to them.

I sure do love the HWM (HardWare Morph) models, they are so expressive (more like Meet The * videos), I'm also using a few custom settings to make stuff look nicer.

// These next two settings need to match
// otherwise facial animation breaks
mp_usehwmmodels "1" // Use high quality models
mp_usehwmvcds "1" // Use high quality faceposing
cl_new_impact_effects "1" // Use particle systems for impact effects
cl_burninggibs "1" // Gibs from burning person stay on fire

How do I get those to work? Some kind of autoexec?

I've actually played the demo and it was fun but I still don't see why Valve went lazy with the cartoony-graphics. Half-Life 2 looks simply amazing with the infamous new Valve engine.

The graphics style was extremely hard to pull off. You'd be surprised.

Look at the models when they speak. The facial expressions are very good indeed.

I love the way it looks. Its great fun. Not taking itself too seriously.

Remember back in the day when TF2 was going to be all serious? Where you actually had the option of feeding bullets into a machinegun while your team mate fired it? That was insane, so glad that never happened.

I also find the Pyro cute, is that wrong? :p

Can someone explain how the scoring works in TF2 to me please? Like I see you guys have a lot of kills and only get over 100 points?

I've played Scout a lot in the past and on some occassions captured/scored the intel 3 times to win a match, but I still got a crappy score. Then tonight, although not as good as you guys, I killed 29 times and only got 40 pts? Wtf

How the hell do you get high scores? Or is TFC/TF2 never meant to be like that?

    • KillerPDF 1.5.1 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.5.1 changelog: Performance Save Flattened PDF now uses multiple CPU cores. Page rasterization is parallelized (PNG encoding runs across cores; the PDFium render step stays serialized since the library isn't thread-safe), so large documents flatten significantly faster while the UI stays responsive (#68). Fixed PDFs that failed to open with "Unexpected EOF" now open (#72). The failure was PdfSharpCore's Flate inflater (SharpZipLib) rejecting the FlateDecode cross-reference stream on multi-revision PDFs - files that open fine in browsers, Acrobat, and Foxit. KillerPDF now detects this and re-opens the file losslessly through PDFium, preserving selectable text. Thanks to @javajon for the report and a detailed reproduction. Grid view renders every page. It was capped at the first 26 pages, so longer documents stopped loading partway through. Tiles also stream in progressively now instead of blocking until the whole document is rendered. Grid Ctrl+Scroll no longer reloads every page when the zoom is already at its limit and nothing would change. Removed a stray horizontal scrollbar (a thin green line) that could appear across the bottom of grid view. Files on UNC / network shares (including the WSL \\wsl$ filesystem) are copied locally before opening, avoiding partial-read failures on network filesystems. Changed Minimum zoom lowered from 10% to 5%, so grid view can pack more columns (helpful for wide/landscape pages) and single-page view can zoom out further.
