Hey, my community just had a large integration with a clan called SpA (link), we have been playing on their servers for ages and we got along really well so they decided to eat us (well the players who wanted to join).

So come and play with me and the clan :) I'm [spA]Minimoose! if you come on btw. Its quite a mature clan with a lot of members being 20 years or over, there are also nearly 100 members and have a lot of admins so the servers are maintained at a high standard (###### get kicked or banned).

Some people are pretty damn good but the majority of players are just casual and chat on mic etc...

If you guys want an example of a dumbass cheater:

Valve's class-based multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2 won't receive its next major update until next year, marketing VP Doug Lombardi has informed Shacknews.

Since the game's launch last year, Valve has provided numerous free updates to owners of the PC version, adding new modes and maps along with class-specific achievements and unlockables for the Medic, Pyro and Heavy classes. The studio has pledged that all of the title's nine classes will eventually be updated with new weaponry.

Lombardi attributed the prolonged wait to the impending release of Left 4 Dead (PC, 360), which saw contributions from numerous Team Fortress 2 team members as development of the cooperative zombie-killing shooter entered the final stages.

The marketing VP also reiterated Valve's plans to bring the existing Team Fortress 2 updates to the Xbox 360 version, though no timeline was offered as to its release.

New blog post on teamfortress.com!

Since the release of Meet the Sandvich in August, several people have asked us how something we'd boasted would be "our magnum opus," "over four hours long" and "make Citizen Kane look like something dumb a complete idiot would make," ended up being one un-dramatic minute spent inside a refrigerator.

Now that more than a month has passed and the wounds have healed on Meet the Sandvich, we can finally give you an honest account of this aborted 240-minute epic, and by that we mean point fingers: It was all the bean counters' fault.

The suits took issue with every brave, authority-questioning page of our Meet the Sandvich script-specifically that there were supposed "similarities" between it and the 1987 action film Predator, and more specifically that it was word for word the 1987 action film Predator.

"Could you explain to us how your script is in any way different from Predator?" asked one of the suits.

"Predator takes place in Guatemala," Erik Wolpaw explained, using his I'm-explaining-something-idiotic-to-a-child voice. "Meet the Sandvich takes place inside a refrigerator in Guatemala."

"Where you can hear Predator happening outside of the refrigerator," clarified Jay Pinkerton.

"Also, Predator is two hours long," Erik continued. "Ours is four hours long."

"Right," said a suit, "but only because the script includes the first half of Predator..."

We nodded.

Hey just got a pc laptop that's gamer friendly. I've always been curious about this game. Is the community still going strong?

post-99705-1224362729_thumb.png

I would say so. Around now would be peak time for European players.

About that blog post: I think I'm a bit lost there. But I thought keeping a camera focused on an inanimate object throughout and having dialogue in the background was a clever way to quickly rush out a trailer.

Here's a tournament for you scout players: http://www.evga.com/articles/00434/

Takes place November 1st from 5 to 9 PM GMT. Requires free registration with evga.com, you don't need to own one of their products.

Prizes:

1st place: GTX 280

2nd Place: 790i FTW Digital

3rd Place: GTX 260 Core 216

I think I found a new ringtone in there

I've already created a few, a few minutes of my time and I already have the Soldier threatening the Heavy before asking for a blood transfusion   .

Scirwode

Update released today.

Added rate limit for several client commands to prevent server spamming

Added consistency checking for particle systems

Updated r_particle_timescale ConVar so it can only be changed if the server has sv_cheats set to 1

Updated loading/disconnect dialogs so they're easier to read

Updated Dustbowl, Granary, and Badwater Basin with several exploit fixes

Updated Granary to remove the setup time and gates

Seems like a slightly heavy update; it's taking forever to update at <130 KB/sec

edit: Update's approximately 45.8 MB.

People are going to be so annoyed*, awesome!

* You could change the timeout on the clouds that spies get when they disguise, so when a spy disguised they always had a cloud following them, no matter how long they were disguised for.

Okay what the flipping hell...

The titlebars on windows has some big arse UGLY font.

My favourites got mysteriously wiped out.

Luckily I can get the IPs back from my server's site, but still...

edit: My favourites disappeared after I changed my friends name. I reverted the change, restarted Steam, and they came back.

edit 2: Nevermind. Was a weird glitch.

LMAO this is friggin hilarious...

This is what happens when a server is full of just admins. Besides noclipping, teleporting people everywhere, this also happened:

The image you see above is a screengrab from the Left 4 Dead demo, featuring a box of delicious "Chocobites" cereal -- the back of which details the prize buried deep within the box's chocolatey bounty: an 8-inch action figure of one of the nine classes in Team Fortress 2. We'd -- wait a second. If there are nine classes in TF2, why does the box tell the discerning Chocobites consumer to collect all ten of the figures?

Could it be Valve's peculiar way of hinting at the upcoming addition of a 10th class to their popular cartoony run-and-gunner? It's entirely possible -- series co-creator Robin Walker has hinted at such additions in the past. However, it could be a hint that Valve is working on some much-requested Team Fortress 2 figurines -- or, though slightly more unlikely, that the PC gaming juggernaut is about to enter the booming breakfast cereal industry. Hopefully, we'll hear more on this in Valve's next weekly news update.

A 10th class? Civilian?

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
