Heh, I quite like it, but prefer the hats that are less 'huge' if you get what I'm saying. It's why I like the Trophy Belt and Mining Light.

Yeah, Hero's Hachimaki looks good on a soldier.

Got your Team Captain yet? I checked the prices today, it's really expensive atm

Heh, I do like it but won't try to get it. Would be nice if I crafted it though as I'm getting close to a craft. I'll be happy with almost anything to be honest.

Double drop rate for items this week:

Also voting is open for the Saxxy Awards finalists. Some of the videos I voted for:

Might also be worth noting the above linked blogpost has an icon of a yet unreleased Medic Syringegun item.

Also that the last time Valve did this was during the Golden Wrench fiasco, it has been rumored over the last month or two that there is something big coming; bigger than anything released before too. So we could be in for something big.

I'd keep an eye out on your consoles for any "GC sent new item schema; updating" messages too; Valve can now push new items or update existing items (At least, their definitions) into TF2 at any time. Just a heads-up incase Valve suddenly start making radioactive killer bonesaws or something appear out of nowhere.

Yes.

Meet the Medic is almost certain to come with the new big release whenever that is, the video itself is complete and has been seen by people who've visited Valve HQ.

The current rumor is that Meet the Medic ties in with this new "Raid mode" that was mentioned in a localisation-string leak from STS.

Something about the Medic operating on a Heavy to create a frankenheavy (which would be the raidmode boss).

I got a random drop of another Tippler's Tricorne, and crafted myself a Brain Bucket, which I love :D

I love the 'Badwater D' entry, and also 'Heavy Endorsing Guy.' Possibly my favourites.

Yeah, these 2 are awesome too.

I'm trying to sell this http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=1719147 , if I succeed I will only need 1-2 ref to buy team captain (goes for 8-9 ref atm), if not I'll try crafting a Medic hat - biggest chance for getting Team Captain, if not, most of other medic hats can be sold with almost no loss :)

No random hats in double drop week for me :(

Something is going on: http://www.teamfortress.com/

Look at the doves. I saw a dove in goldrush a few mins ago. I passed it and was like "what the...?" then i walked near it and it just exploded. Others players are seeing them in game.

From a post in the tf2 forum, not my pic.

Strange. I saw one last night (about 27 hours ago to be exact) on Badlands perched on a rock near the middle point, and thought nothing of it :p.

Is there a game update inbound? Or is this just some ARG for Meet the Medic?

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
