I've been arguing this with friends lately and they all seemed to have forgotten that all we saw was the PRESS CONFERENCE for Harvey Dent. Batman told Gordon that the people need a hero (or something like that) and so obviously they are going to put up an image of Dent before the accident. I wouldn't be surprised if he IS alive, somewhere...

Dent is dead. From a second viewing, I notice Dent wasn't breathing. Nolan wanted him dead.

I don't understand why I loved this movie so much, it just appealed to every sense. First movie i've held my hand to my mouth shocked, ever.

People are going to claim this movie is getting more buzz just because Heath died, but good lord... If you claim there could of been a better Joker, i'd love to hear and see who.

Thanks Heath, thank you for showing everyone how good the dark Joker can be.

Technically dent isn't dead; He just became two-face. So gordon and batman wanted to let people know that because of batman dent died so he died a hero's death so people don?t know what actually happen to dent after his girlfriend died.

So there's a chance that we'll see 2 face again in Batman 3 or 4

It was actually too short. They should have either trimmed certain parts from the script, or made the movie longer to adequately flesh out the entire script. Some scenes were badly edited and disjointed. This feels like a near 3-hour film cut down to 2.5 hours because the director was pressured. It was never boring in any case. Does anyone know if Nolan has final cut?

How?! They buried him. They showed the casket. He wasn't breathing. He's dead. No 3 or 4.

Could have something to do with IMAX limitations if they are wanting to keep the two theatrical versions in sync. Current IMAX film spools are limited to 150 minutes of runtime.

Did you went to check the pulse. And really have you read the comicbooks or even watched the shows. How can you say that 2 face died so easly.

These films aren't following the comic books though. In the comic book wasn't Ra's al Ghul born 600 years before meeting him? There's no mention of immortality like that in the film.

The Joker could still be alive, but I doubt Two Face could be. We may not have seen the guys go over and check his pulse, but so what? I think we can safely assume that a cop checked his pulse, or a corner checked his pulse, someone checked it before he was put into a coffin. ****, an autopsy probably would have been required considering his death involved the Commissioner.

Two Face is definitely dead. On my second viewing, I was checking if his body was still breathing. He wasn't. Nolan wanted to make it look like he's dead.

Amazing movie! I'm not sure the Joker was true to the Batman series, but this incarnation of the Joker was by far my favorite. Very, very good character. I love how he basically called himself an agent of chaos. And that it was his single goal in life to upset the standard order of things.

Yeah cause falling of a several stores doesn't kill two-face only dent? He had no protection, while batman had his exoskeleton suit.

Anyway, even though two face is awesome, we already saw him, my hype is down... Bring on new fiends!

Agreed.

There better be a 3 hour uncut bluray DVD :p with 30 more minutes of heath ledger plus 2 hours of behind the scenes.!!!

I remember reading somewhere, where Nolan was asked to keep the violence down and he actually was ordered to trim down the time. But that was a while ago, when TDK hype started, i'll see if I can find my source.

I'm not quite sold. I'd be surprised if they don't find a way to deal him in. Also, the rumor mill says that Heath had already shot some scenes for the third before his death so who knows.

Ok I finally watched it. I kind of didn't want to initially because of all the hype and me attributing the hype to a dead actor.

It really was something that makes going to the movies worthwhile again. Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end.

There aren't many movies that I'd pay to see again, but this is definitely one of them.

First movie I saw in theaters since the LOTR that I truly felt I got my moneys worth.

I give it 5/5

Possible Spoiler:

I thought the joker in the nurse outfit was hillarious. Especially in the beginning with the made up hair. Me and my brother and these rednecks next to us are the only ones that found it funny in the theater. People need to learn to lighten up ahahaa. Too bad ledger is dead, he pulled off the insanity/funny role perfectly. Theres no way in hell two face is dead. Its one of batmans most popular villians and killing him off to the point of not coming back would be idiotic. I bet $5 he will be back.

Some of my friends are trying to guess who will they find as a Joker substitute, Maybe johnny depp?

Anyway... I thought the nurse outfit was hillarious as well, but even more when he walks out just before bombs go out.

    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
    • On my music making (non internet) PC Sony Acid Pro 7.0 Adobe Audition 2015 Korg Legacy Collection Windows 7 SP1
    • Anyway to download these versions without being on the Experimental builds?
